STARTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]
| WARNING | Remove and install all parts when the engine is cold, otherwise they can cause severe burns or serious injury. When the battery cables are connected, touching the vehicle body with starter terminal B will generate sparks. This can cause personal injury, fire, and damage to the electrical components. Always disconnect the negative battery cable before performing the following operation. |
Scheme 21
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615412-S04991947062014051000000) ).
- Remove the front under cover No.2. (See «FRONT UNDER COVER NO.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-615433-S21444705852014051000000) ).
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal. (Scheme 21): Identifying Terminal B Cable, Terminal S Connector And Starter With Torque Specifications
