Service Indicator & Warning Lights Mazda 929 HC

Note. All warning lights should come on with the ignition. Any warning light which does not come with the ignition must be checked and repaired.

BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT

Light comes on with parking brake. If light remains on with parking brake off, fluid must be checked.

SEAT BELT WARNING

Light and beeper will go on for about 6 seconds, or until driver's belt is locked, when ignition is turned on.

CHARGING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT

CHARGE light indicates a malfunction of the alternator or the electrical charging system.

MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT

CHECK light indicates a fault in the engine electrical system.

HEADLIGHT HIGH BEAM INDICATOR

Indicates headlight high beam is on.

HAZARD WARNING LIGHT

Flashes with hazard warning lights.

HOLD INDICATOR LIGHT

Light comes on when the HOLD mode is selected. This stops automatic speed change operation. If HOLD light flashes, the transmission has an electrical problem. Continued operation under these conditions could cause transmission damage.

KEY REMINDER WARNING

A beeper sounds if the key is left in the ignition and the door is opened.

ENGINE OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT

Indicates low oil pressure. If light comes on during vehicle operation, check engine oil level and add fluid as necessary. If light remains on, immediate service is required. DO NOT run engine if oil pressure is low. Extensive engine damage could result.

FUEL WARNING LIGHT

Light indicates low fuel level in tank.

WASHER WARNING LIGHT

Light indicates low fluid level in windshield washer tank.

REAR STOP & TAILLIGHT MALFUNCTION WARNING

Light illuminates when headlight switch is turned on if one or more of the taillights is burned out.

DOOR WARNING LIGHT

Light indicates that a door has been left open.

SECURITY WARNING LIGHT

Light indicates security alarm status.

ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT

Light comes on with ignition. If the ABS control unit determines that all components are functioning correctly light goes out. If the light stays on a malfunction is indicated and the system requires inspection and repair.

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (AIR BAG) WARNING LIGHT

AIR BAG light comes on when ignition is turned ON or after engine is started and should go out after about 6 seconds. System malfunction is indicated when light constantly flashes or stays illuminated. Have system serviced as soon as possible.
