- Remove throttle position sensor connector. Connect an ohmmeter between 2 outer terminals. (A and D). Resistance should be 3500-6500 ohms. Connect ohmmeter between terminals B and D. Resistance with throttle valve closed should be 300-1000 ohms. Resistance with throttle valve open should be 3500-6500 ohms.
- Connect ohmmeter between terminals C and D. (Scheme 3) Insert a.020" (.5 mm) thickness gauge between adjustment screw and stop lever. Ohmmeter should show continuity.
- Insert a.028" (.7 mm) thickness gauge between adjustment screw and stop lever. Ohmmeter should show no continuity. If ohmmeter does not read correctly, rotate throttle position sensor to obtain correct readings.
