SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM INTRODUCTION
If no faults were found while performing BASIC TESTING proceed with self-diagnostics. If no fault codes or only pass codes are present after entering self-diagnostics, proceed to TESTS W/O CODES article for diagnosis by symptom (i.e. ROUGH IDLE, NO START, etc.).
TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION CHART (NON-TURBO)
| CAUTION | If there is more than one failure present, the lowest number malfunction code is be displayed first, and the remaining codes are displayed sequentially. After repairing a failure, turn off the ignition switch and disconnect the negative battery cable and depress the brake pedal for at least 5 seconds to erase the memory of a malfunction code. |
