| CAUTION | Performing the following procedures without first removing the ABS wheel-speed sensor may possibly cause an open circuit in the wiring harness if it is pulled by mistake. Before performing the following procedures, disconnect the ABS wheel-speed sensor connector (axle side) and fix the wiring harness to an appropriate place where it will not be pulled by mistake while servicing the vehicle. |
Scheme 3
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

Brake Caliper Component Removal Note
- Remove the brake caliper component and suspend it out of the way using a cable.
Nut (Lower Arm) Removal Note
| WARNING | If the stud bolt of the front knuckle is loosened when removing the front lower arm outer nut, replace the stud bolt with a new one. If the stud bolt is reused, it could fall off while driving, resulting in serious injury or death, and damage to the vehicle. |

- Apply grease (L2Y1 33247) to the wheel bearing inner race and drive shaft contact surface (Area A in figure). (Scheme 4): Wheel Bearing Inner Race Grease Application Area And Drive Shaft Contact Surface
- Install the wheel hub, steering knuckle component.

- Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

- Remove the wheel hub component using the SSTs. (Scheme 6): Removing Wheel Hub Component Using SSTs
- If the bearing inner race remains on the front wheel hub component, perform the following procedure.
- Grind a section of the bearing inner race until approx. 0.5 mm {0.02 in} remains. (Scheme 7): Removing Bearing Inner Race Using Chisel
- Remove the bearing inner race using a chisel.
