Scheme 6

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the engine cover. (See «ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI 3.7 V6]»(ref-581682-S04142926752013101400000).)
3. Remove the dynamic chamber. (See «INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI 3.7 V6]»(ref-581679-S24618371532013101400000).)
4. Remove in the order indicated in the table. CAUTION: Apply small amount of the specified dielectric grease to the inside of the ignition coils, then install the ignition coils to the spark plugs. Specified grease: Motorcraft XG-3A
5. Install in the reverse order of removal. (Scheme 6): Ignition Coil And Connector With Torque Specification

Scheme 7

1. Remove the ignition coils. (See «IGNITION COIL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI 3.7 V6]»(ref-581671-S40527084762013101400000).)
2. Using a tester, measure the resistance between the ignition coil terminal A and ignition coil boot socket. (Scheme 7): Measuring Resistance Between Ignition Coil Terminal And Ignition Coil Boot Socket Using Tester If not within specification, replace the ignition coil. Ignition coil secondary coil resistance 5-6 kilohms
