HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Partially peel back the seaming welt.
3. Remove the following parts: Microphone (vehicles with car-navigation system). See «A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244641-S06297457352006092500000) ). Upper anchor of the front seat belt. See «FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.»(ref-244660-S08344744252006092500000) ) Front scuff plate. See «FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244641-S13812292832006092500000) ). Rear scuff plate. See «REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244641-S40068604252006092500000) ). B-pillar lower trims. See «B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244641-S32266021582006092500000) ). B-pillar upper trims. See «B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244641-S01884535062006092500000) ). 4. Disconnect the auto-dimming mirror connector, (vehicles with auto-dimming mirror only)
5. Remove the sunvisors. (See «SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244641-S23073448042006092500000) ).
6. Remove the assist handle. (See «ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244641-S31883545592006092500000) ).
7. Remove the net anchor. (Sport Wagon)
8. Disconnect the roof harness connector, remove the clip, and remove the connector.
9. Disconnect the rear washer hose. (5-Door, Sport Wagon)
10. Place the rear center seat belt bezel out of the way of the headliner. (Sport Wagon)
11. Remove the fasteners.
12. Remove the retainer holding the roof panel and remove the headliner.

1. 13. Take the headliner off from the passenger-side door opening. (Sport Sedan, 5-Door)
2. 14. Take the headliner off from the liftgate opening. (Sport Wagon)
3. 15. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Remove the screw, then the sunvisor.
2. Disconnect the vanity mirror illumination connector.
3. Disengage the center adapter (sunvisor stopper) from the body using a fastener remover.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Insert a screwdriver into the assist handle notch and remove the assist handle cover.
2. Pull the assist handle outward, then remove the assist handle.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

4. Disconnect the auto-dimming mirror connector, (vehicles with auto-dimming mirror only)

6. Remove the assist handle. (See «ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244641-S31883545592006092500000) ).
7. Remove the headliner. (See «HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-244641-S23816200972006092500000) ).
8. Remove the fasteners.
9. Pull the shock absorbing pad, then disengage the clip A or B from the body.
10. Install in the reverse order of removal.

4. Remove the screws.
5. Remove the tonneau cover anchor.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

3. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener bezel.
4. Remove the fasteners.
5. Remove the cap nuts.
6. Remove the clips.
7. Take the floor covering off from the front passenger-side door opening.
8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
