DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL HU/CM INSPECTION

  1. Disconnect the DSC HU/CM connector. (See «DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-579348-S13608903472013100700000) .)
  2. Connect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5]»(ref-579330-S31782573982013100700000) .) (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-579332-S32330103212013100700000) .) (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI TURBO]»(ref-579331-S30971870802013100700000) .)
  3. Attach the tester lead to the DSC HU/CM wiring harness-side connector and inspect voltage, continuity, or resistance according to the standard (reference) on the table.

FRONT ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR INSPECTION

  1. Inspect the front ABS wheel-speed sensor in the same order of vehicles with ABS. (See «FRONT ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR INSPECTION»(ref-579351-S22995235392013100700000) .)

REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR INSPECTION

  1. Inspect the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor in the same order of vehicles with ABS. (See «REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR INSPECTION»(ref-579351-S29511256192013100700000) .)

Scheme 3

Scheme 3
  1. Switch the ignition to off.
  2. Install the SSTs to the master cylinder (secondary side) as shown in the figure. (Scheme 2): Identifying Connections Of SSTs To Master Cylinder NOTE: When installing the SST (49 D043 0A0) to the master cylinder, use a commercially available flare nut wrench (flare nut across flat 12 mm {0.47 in} ).
  3. Bleed the brake line and the SSTs of air. (Bleed the SSTs of air using air bleed valve A.)
  4. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2. (Scheme 3): Identifying Data Link Connector (DLC-2)
  5. Select the "MCYLI_P" PID. (See «ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)]»(ref-579416-S37115631302013100700000).)
  6. Start the engine.
  7. Depress the brake pedal, and verify that the fluid pressure value of the SST (gauge) and the value shown on the M-MDS are equal. If the fluid pressure values are different, replace the DSC HU/CM. (See «DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-579348-S13608903472013100700000).)

  1. Remove the switch panel in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure. (Scheme 4): Switch Panel
  2. Disconnect the connector.
  3. Remove the DSC OFF switch in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure while pressing the tabs in the direction of the arrow (1). (Scheme 5): DSC OFF Switch
  4. Remove the DSC OFF switch.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 6

Scheme 6: DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL OFF SWITCH INSPECTION
  1. Remove the DSC OFF switch. (See «DSC OFF SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-579348-S27460481642013100700000).)
  2. Verify that the continuity between the DSC OFF switch terminals is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, replace the DSC OFF switch. (Scheme 6): DSC OFF Switch Connector Terminals And Continuity Test Chart
  3. Apply battery voltage to DSC OFF switch terminal E, and connect terminal A to ground.
  4. Verify that the LED illuminates. If there is any malfunction, replace the DSC OFF switch.
