  1. Remove the battery cover. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI TURBO]»(ref-520412-S07601908282013010300000).)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI TURBO]»(ref-520412-S07601908282013010300000).)
  3. Remove the following items: (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI TURBO]»(ref-520412-S07601908282013010300000).) Battery PCM cover No.1
  4. Disconnect the PCM connector. (See «PCM CONNECTOR CONNECTION NOTE»(ref-520401-S31302977612013010300000).)
  5. Remove the battery tray and PCM component. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI TURBO]»(ref-520412-S07601908282013010300000).)
  6. Remove in the order indicated in the table. (Scheme 95): Locating PCM With Torque Specifications
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  8. When replacing the PCM on the vehicles, perform the following: PCM configuration (See «PCM CONFIGURATION [MZR 2.3 DISI TURBO]»(ref-520401-S15730687252013010300000).) Immobilizer system-related parts programming (See «IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-RELATED PARTS PROGRAMMING [KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM]»(ref-520433-S33853624432013010300000).) (See «IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-RELATED PARTS PROGRAMMING [ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM]»(ref-520433-S15584079602013010300000).)
