FRONT FOG LIGHT AIMING

CAUTIONIf the front fog light aiming is adjusted with cargo in the vehicle, it may not adjust correctly. Adjust the front fog light aiming with the vehicle under the following conditions: No occupants inside vehicle Cargo other than spare tire, jack, and tools not loaded Tire pressure is at specification (See WHEEL AND TIRE SPECIFICATION .) Park the vehicle on level ground

  1. Make a screen as shown in the figure using double-weight, white paper. (Scheme 83): Identifying Front Fog Light Aiming (Brightness Borderline)
  2. Seat one person in the driver's seat.
  3. Line up the vehicle with the wall so that the center of the front fog light is 3 m {9.8 ft} away from the wall. (Scheme 84): Setting Up Vehicle For Checking Front Fog Light Adjustment
  4. Measure the height at the center of the front fog light. (Scheme 85): Measuring Height At Center Of Front Fog Light NOTE: Since the height of the vehicle varies depending on the vehicle situation, measure the height of the center of the front fog light using the actual vehicle.
  5. Align the center of the front fog light with the center of the screen. (Scheme 86): Measuring Height Of Center Of Front Fog Light Using Actual Vehicle
  6. Block the light of the other front fog light using a partition.
  7. Start the engine. NOTE: If servicing is performed when the engine is stopped and the front fog light illuminates, it could result in a discharged battery. For the aiming adjustment, start the engine and perform servicing while the engine is idling.
  8. Turn the front fog lights on.
  9. Verify that the brightness border line of the front fog light is at the position indicated on the adjustment screen. If the brightness border line is not at the position indicated on the adjustment screen, perform the following adjustment. Loosen the bolt. (Scheme 87): Front Fog Light Bolt And Screw With Torque Specification Loosen the screw. Move the front fog light in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to adjust the brightness border line to the position indicated on the adjustment screen. Tighten the screw and bolt.

Move the front fog light in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to adjust the brightness border line to the position indicated on the adjustment screen. Tighten the screw and bolt.

  3. Remove the outer mirror garnish. (See «OUTER MIRROR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-520370-S28225910572013010300000).)
  4. Remove the screw. (Scheme 93): Identifying Side Turn Light, Connector And Screw
  5. Disconnect the connector.
  6. Remove the side turn light while detaching tab. CAUTION: If the tabs of the side turn light are detached, the side turn light may fall off and be damaged. When detaching the tabs of the side turn light, hold the side turn light with a hand during the servicing.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  5. Connect the battery voltage as shown in the figure. (Scheme 94): Applying Battery Voltage And Ground To Side Turn Light If the side turn light does illuminate, replace it. If the side turn light illuminate, inspect the short-code.

  3. Disconnect the connectors shown in the figure and remove the nuts. (Scheme 97): Rear Combination Light, Connectors And Nuts With Torque Specification
  4. Pull the rear combination light in the direction of the arrow to detach it from the hook. (Scheme 98): Rear Combination Light Mounting
  5. Remove the rear combination light.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  4. Connect auto leveling sensor terminal A to the battery's minus terminal, and terminal C to the battery's plus terminal, and apply 4.5 V of voltage between terminals A and C.
  5. Connect the tester as shown in the figure.
  6. When slowly moving the link up and down, verify that the shift is linear while the voltage is 0.5 to 4.5 V. (Scheme 143): Auto Leveling Sensor Voltage Graph If the voltage cannot be verified as indicated in the graph, replace the auto leveling sensor.
