- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5]».) (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI TURBO]».) (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]».)
- Remove the side wall. (See «SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION».)
- Disconnect the evaporator temperature sensor connector.
- Disconnect the power MOS FET connector. (Full-auto air conditioner)
- Disconnect the resistor connector. (Manual air conditioner)
- Remove in the order indicated in the table. (Scheme 67): Identifying Air Filter Removal Sequence
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Insert the air filter projection between the ribs of the A/C unit and assemble the air filter (1) in the order shown in the figure. (Scheme 68): Inserting Air Filter Projection Between Ribs Of A/C Unit And Assemble Air Filter
