CONTROL SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAM [LF, L3]

IMPORTANTBe aware that Oxygen sensor terminology differs between California models (3 O2 sensors) and Non-California models (2 O2 sensors). When testing/servicing oxygen sensors, refer to SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article to properly identify appropriate sensor.

Scheme 41: PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L3]
  1. When replacing the PCM, perform the following: PCM configuration (See «PCM CONFIGURATION [LF, L3]»(ref-345210-S26230212932009102000000) ).
  2. Remove the battery cover, battery duct, battery and battery tray with PCM. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L3]»(ref-345206-S36173522052009102000000) .)
  3. Disconnect the PCM connector.
  4. Remove the PCM from the battery tray.
  5. When replacing the PCM on the vehicles, perform the following: PCM parameter reset (See «IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM COMPONENT REPLACEMENT/KEY ADDITION AND CLEARING»(ref-345243-S01012376282009102000000) .)
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Verify that the PCM connector lever is tilted towards the wiring harness side as shown in the figure.
  2. Insert the PCM connector straight until it contacts the PCM and verify that the lever reverts upward naturally.
  3. Push the lever until a click is heard.
