REAR DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the following parts: Sail garnish (5 door) (See «SAIL GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S27785837952009102000000) .) Rear door garnish (5 door) (See «REAR DOOR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345249-S05432158822009102000000) .) Regulator handle (Vehicles with manual window system) (See «REGULATOR HANDLE REMOVAL»(ref-345254-S42341002012009102000000) .) (See «REGULATOR HANDLE INSTALLATION»(ref-345254-S15895405422009102000000) .) Rear door trim (See «REAR DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S27520553062009102000000) .) Rear door glass (See «REAR DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345254-S04182570872009102000000) .) Rear door speaker (See «REAR DOOR SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345255-S10542439702009102000000) .) Inner handle (See «INNER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345243-S41653553822009102000000) ). Rear door unit (See «REAR DOOR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345256-S41105264602009102000000) .)
3. Pull the stopper of the rear door lock actuator connector in the direction of the arrow (1).
4. Disconnect the rear door lock actuator connector while pushing at point A.
5. Remove the rear door latch and lock actuator from the rear door unit.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. The following actuator and switch are integrated with the rear door latch and lock actuator. Inspect the rear door latch and lock actuator according to each inspection procedure for the following items. Rear door lock actuator (See «REAR DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR INSPECTION»(ref-345243-S16346871092009102000000) ). Rear door latch switch (See «REAR DOOR LATCH SWITCH INSPECTION»(ref-345243-S34891092472009102000000) ).

1. When inspecting the latch, press the latch lever using a flathead screwdriver or a similar tool.
2. Inspect for continuity between the rear door latch switch terminals. If not as specified, replace the rear door latch and lock actuator.

1. Apply battery positive voltage and connect ground to the corresponding rear door lock actuator terminals, and inspect the rear door lock actuator operation. 5. Disconnect the liftgate lock actuator connector and liftgate latch switch connector.
6. Detach the rod from the liftgate key cylinder.
7. Remove the clips.
8. Remove the bolts.
9. Remove the liftgate latch and lock actuator
10. Detach the cable from the liftgate latch and lock actuator.
11. Install in the reverse order of removal.

2. Remove the bolts, then remove the liftgate lock striker.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

2. To remove the fuel-filler lid opener lever, remove the following part: Front scuff plate (Driver's side) (See «FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S03552764762009102000000) .)
3. When removing the fuel-filler lid opener cable, perform the following procedure: Remove the following parts: Rear seat (See «REAR SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345253-S19841861632009102000000) .) Rear scuff plate (Driver's side) (See «REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S34770097052009102000000) .) Tire house trim (Driver's side) (See «TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S27657366472009102000000) .) B-pillar lower trim (Driver's side) (See «B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S05968899652009102000000) .) Partially peel back the floor covering so that the fuel-filler lid opener cable can be removed. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable from clips A.
4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

3. Detach the rod from the trunk lid key cylinder.
4. Disconnect the trunk lid key cylinder connector.
5. Remove the nuts, then remove the trunk lid key cylinder.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

TRUNK LID LATCH AND RELEASE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

3. Disconnect the connector.
4. Remove the bolts.

4. Press the latch in using a flathead screwdriver to inspect the latch lever condition.

4. Press the latch in using a flathead screwdriver to inspect the latch lever condition.
5. Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, replace the trunk lid latch and release actuator.

2. Detach the trunk lid opener cable.
3. Remove the bolts, then remove the trunk lid striker.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Partially peel back the floor covering so that the trunk lid opener cable can be removed. Remove the trunk lid opener cable from the trunk lid lock striker. Remove the trunk lid opener cable from the clips A.
3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 64

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the map light. (See «MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345247-S18086223702009102000000) .)
3. Disconnect the keyless control module connector.
4. Remove the screw, then remove the keyless control module.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
6. When replacing the keyless control module, register the transmitter ID codes. (See «TRANSMITTER ID CODE REGISTRATION»(ref-345243-S25313878152009102000000) ).

COIL ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Note. Do not remove the coil antenna unless you are replacing it.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Disconnect the coil antenna connector.
4. Detach the steering lock tabs from the holes on the coil antenna.
