  1. Assemble the boot clamp to the steering gear.
  2. Crimp the boot clamp using the SST. (Scheme 1): Crimping Boot Clamp Using SST
  3. Rotate the by hand and verify that it is securely installed to the boot clamp.

  1. Align the alignment marks made before removal and assemble the tie-rod end to the tie rod. (Scheme 2): Aligning Alignment Marks On Tie-Rod End To Tie Rod If there are no alignment marks, go to the next step.
  2. Adjust dimension A shown in the figure to the standard, then assemble the tie-rod end. (Scheme 3): Adjusting Dimension A Of Tie-Rod End Standard Dimension A 29.6-45.6 mm {1.17-1.79 in} (difference between left and right 3 mm {0.1 in} or less.)
