Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? Yes : GO to B2. No : REPAIR the circuit in question. Test the system for normal operation.
- B2 CHECK CIRCUITS 31-AJ80B (BK/OG) AND 91-AJ80 (BN/BU) FOR OPENS Key in OFF position. Measure the resistance between DDM C501 a-7, circuit 91-AJ80 (BN/BU), harness side and ground; and between DDM C501a-8, circuit 31-AJ80B (BK/OG), harness side and ground. Measure the voltage between driver seat forward/reverse motor C362-2, circuit 32-AH37 (WH/GN), harness side and C362-1, circuit 33-AH37 (YE/GN), harness side, while pushing the driver seat control switch forward and rearward. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts when the switch is pushed forward, greater than -10 volts when the switch is pushed rearward, and 0 volts when the switch is in a rest position? Yes : INSTALL a new driver seat forward/reverse motor. TEST the system for normal operation. DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. Yes : INSTALL a new driver seat rear height motor. TEST the system for normal operation. DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the driver seat rear height motor and the driver seat control switch, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the driver seat control switch and ground? Is the voltage greater than +10 volts when the front tilt switch is pressed down, greater than -10 volts when the front tilt switch is pressed up and 0 volts when the switch is in the rest position? Yes : INSTALL a new driver seat front height motor. TEST the system for normal operation. DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. Yes : INSTALL a new driver seat backrest motor. TEST the system for normal operation. DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the driver seat backrest motor and the driver seat control switch, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the driver seat control switch and ground? Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the driver seat backrest motor and the driver seat control switch, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the seat control switch and ground? - I2 CHECK FOR A SHORT TO BATTERY Disconnect: DSM C341c. Key in ON position. Using the following table, measure the voltage between DSM C341c pins, harness side and ground. - I5 CHECK THE HORIZONTAL POSITION SENSOR COMMON RETURN Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Horizontal Position Sensor C372. Measure the resistance between horizontal position sensor C372-3, circuit 9-AH26 (BN/RD), harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 180 ohms? Yes : GO to I7 . No : GO to I6.
- I6 CHECK CIRCUIT 9-AH26 (BN/RD) FOR AN OPEN Disconnect: DSM C341a. Measure the resistance between horizontal position sensor C372-3, circuit 9-AH26 (BN/RD), harness side and DSM C341 a-11, circuit 9-AH80 (BN/WH), harness side. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? Operate the driver seat control switch to the rear up and rear down position. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts in both directions? Yes : GO to I15 . No : GO to I12.

- I28 CHECK THE DSM FORWARD/REARWARD MOTOR CONTROL Measure the voltage between driver side forward/rearward motor C362-1, circuit 33-AH37 (YE/GN), harness side and ground while operating the driver seat control switch to the rearward position; and between driver side forward/rearward motor C362-2, circuit 32-AH37 (WH/GN), harness side and ground while operating the driver seat control switch to the forward position. Using the following table, measure the resistance between passenger seat control switch C330 pins, harness side and ground: PINS CIRCUIT REFERENCE Pin Circuit Inoperative Motor 12 32-AH43 (WH/RD) Backrest 7 33-AH43 (YE/RD) Backrest 4 32-AH34 (WH/BK) Height 5 33-AH34 (YE/BK) Height 3 32-AH44 (WH/GN) Forward/ Rearward 11 33-AH44 (YE/GN) Forward/ Rearward Are the resistances greater than 10,000 ohms? Yes : GO to J3. No : REPAIR the circuit in question. TEST the system for normal operation. DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. DISCONNECT the restraint system diagnostic tool from passenger seat side air bag module C314. CONNECT passenger seat side air bag module C314. REPOWER the supplemental restraint system (SRS). REFER to «AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS»(ref-170294) .
- J3 CHECK FOR AN OPEN CIRCUIT Key in OFF position. Measure the resistance between the passenger seat control switch C330 pins, harness side and the inoperative motor connector, harness side: PINS CIRCUIT REFERENCE C330 Pin Circuit Motor Connector Height Motor 4 32-AH34 (WH/BK) C333-1 5 33-AH34 (YE/BK) C333-2 Forward/Reverse Motor 3 32-AH44 (WH/GN) C332-2 11 33-AH44 (YE/GN) C332-1 Backrest Motor 12 32-AH43 (WH/RD) C338-1 7 33-AH43 (YE/RD) C338-2 Are all resistance readings less than 5 ohms? Yes : INSTALL a new passenger seat control switch. TEST the system for normal operation. DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. DISCONNECT the restraint system diagnostic tool from passenger seat side air bag module C314. CONNECT passenger seat side air bag module C314. REPOWER the supplemental restraint system (SRS). REFER to «AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS»(ref-170294) . No : REPAIR the circuit in question. TEST the system for normal operation. DISCONNECT the battery ground cable. DISCONNECT the restraint system diagnostic tool from passenger seat side air bag module C314. CONNECT passenger seat side air bag module C314. REPOWER the supplemental restraint system (SRS). REFER to «AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS»(ref-170294) .

An inoperative heated seat can be caused by
