Scheme 1
CHECK OIL WARNING LIGHT
The CHECK OIL warning light indicates a possible low oil level. If functioning correctly, the light comes on when ignition switch is turned to the ON position and goes out after engine starts. If light remains on when running, check the oil level and add oil if necessary.
COOLANT TEMPERATURE WARNING LIGHT
This light will glow when the engine is off and the ignition switch is in the ON position. If this light illuminates during operation, the engine is overheating. The vehicle should be stopped immediately and the cooling level should be checked.
BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT
The brake system warning light indicates that either the parking brake is on or the fluid pressure in the brake system is low. The light should come on briefly when ignition switch is turned to the ON position, and the parking brake is released. If the light stays on, immediate servicing is needed.
CHARGING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT (AMP)
This AMP light will glow with the ignition switch in the ON or START position until the engine starts. The light may also glow when there is a heavy electrical load on the system. If the electrical load is reduced and the light remains on, the electrical system needs to be checked.
OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT
The light should come on briefly until the engine starts. If the light remains on while engine is running, there is low oil pressure. Check the oil level immediately.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM LIGHT
This light indicates the status of the anti-lock brake system. If the light stays on for more than 60 seconds after the engine has started, have the anti-lock brake feature checked as soon as possible.
CHECK SUSPENSION WARNING LIGHT
The CHECK SUSPENSION warning light indicates that the air suspension switch is in the OFF position when the ignition switch is in the ON position, or there is a problem with the suspension system. When functioning correctly, the light comes on when ignition switch is turned to the ON position and goes out after engine has started. If light remains on when engine is running, check the air suspension switch in the trunk. If it is switched to ON and the light still glows, have the suspension system checked immediately.
