Circuit
Disconnect the connectors from the ECU and inspect the connector on the wire harness side (Scheme 10) If circuit is not as specified, inspect the wire harness and mirror switch or motor assembly.
Scheme 10
MIRROR SWITCH
Inspect the switch continuity. (Scheme 11)- (Scheme 14). If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and negative (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the mirror turns to left side. (Scheme 15)
- Reverse polarity and check that the mirror turns to right side. (Scheme 15)
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and negative (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the mirror turns upward. (Scheme 16)
- Reverse polarity and check that the mirror turns downward. (Scheme 16)

- Connect a series of 3, 1.5 volt dry cell batteries.
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the dry cell batteries to terminal 11 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 8. (Scheme 19)
- Connect the positive (+) lead from voltmeter to terminal 10 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 8. (Scheme 20)
- Apply battery positive voltage to terminals 3 and 13, then check that the voltage gradually changes according to the table (Scheme 21), while the mirror moves between the uppermost position and lowermost position.
- Disconnect the 2 leads of the battery and voltmeter.
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the voltmeter to terminal 9 and negative (-) lead to terminal 8. (Scheme 22)
- Apply battery positive voltage to terminals 12 and 13, then inspect that the voltage gradually changes according to the table. (Scheme 23)and (Scheme 24), while the mirror moves between the left most position and the right most position. If voltage is not as specified, replace the motor assembly.

- Pass the shop rag between the mirror and mirror body to wrap up the mirror in the shop rag. (Scheme 25)
- Pull up the lower side of the shop rag to disconnect the mirror joint. (Scheme 25)
- Pull up the mirror and disconnect the connector.
Scheme 26
- Connect the Claw (A) and set the mirror to the mirror body. (Scheme 26)
- Push the mirror to connect the claws (B) and connect it. (Scheme 26)
