- PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD) NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- PRECAUTION (w/ Air Suspension) NOTE: Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing. Refer to «PRECAUTION»(ref-400808-S18187891512011051800000) .
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-400649-S12881576452011051800000) .
- REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY . Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 4»(ref-400802-S39560348452011051800000)
- REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER PROTECTOR Remove the 3 bolts and charcoal canister protector.
- REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY Using a screwdriver, pry up the retainer. HINT: Do not remove the retainer. Disconnect the purge line hose. Disconnect the air inlet line tube from the charcoal canister assembly (leak detection pump). Disconnect the connector from the charcoal canister assembly (leak detection pump). Disconnect the vent line tube from the charcoal canister assembly. NOTE: Remove any dirt or foreign matter on the fuel tube connector before performing this work. Do not allow any scratches or foreign matter on the parts when disconnecting them as the fuel tube connector has an O-ring that seals the pipe. Perform this work by hand. Do not use any tools. Do not forcibly bend, twist or turn the nylon tube. Protect the disconnected part by covering it with a plastic bag after disconnecting the vent line tube. If the fuel tube connector and pipe are stuck, push and pull to release them. Remove the 3 nuts, 2 clips and charcoal canister assembly.
