Power Mirror Control (Diagnostics): Other Lexus LX J200

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally. Refer to «DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM»(ref-385222-S33412669092011021400000) . RESULT Result Proceed to CAN DTC is not output A CAN DTC is output B B --> See step 6 A: Go to next step
2. CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (SEAT POSITION MEMORY FUNCTION) Check that the driver side seat can be moved using the seat memory switch. OK Driver side seat can be moved using seat memory switch. NG --> See step 7 OK: Go to next step
3. CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (REGISTRATION OF SEAT MEMORY SWITCH) Check that the memory operation is properly completed. NOTE: The seat position will not be recorded if the seat memory SET switch and 2 or more of the seat memory switches (for example, seat memory switch 1 and seat memory switch 2) are pressed simultaneously. If the operation fails, the mirror facing direction will not be memorized until the seat memory SET switch is turned off. The mirror facing direction will not be memorized when the mirror is operated manually. OK Driver side seat position can be memorized using seat memory switch (for Driver Side). NG --> See step 4 OK --> SYSTEM IS OK
4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MIRROR POSITION MEMORY) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the mirror position memory. Refer to «DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST»(ref-385301-S01369055542011021400000) . MIRROR Tester Display Measurement Item/Display Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Mirror Memory No. 1 Mirror position memorized in seat memory switch 1 / ON or OFF ON: Memorized OFF: Not memorized - Mirror Memory No. 2 Mirror position memorized in seat memory switch 2 / ON or OFF ON: Memorized OFF: Not memorized - Mirror Memory No. 3 Mirror position memorized in seat memory switch 3 / ON or OFF ON: Memorized OFF: Not memorized - OK On the Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart. NG --> See step 8 OK --> See step 5
5. REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-385219-S06542436282011021400000)
6. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to «DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART»(ref-385222-S04985080032011021400000)
7. GO TO POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to «HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING»(ref-385298-S20085674152011021400000)
8. REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-385281-S09041093582011021400000)
