REMOVAL

  1. REMOVE SEAT TRACK OUTER COVERS Using a screwdriver, remove the 4 seat track outer covers. HINT: Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT Remove the 4 bolts. Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) Disconnect the connectors, then remove the front seat. NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness. Be careful not to damage the body.

  1. REMOVE HEADREST
  2. REMOVE SEATBACK BOARD Remove the seatback board (Scheme 65) HINT: Remove the seatback board in the order of "A" and "B" (Scheme 65)
  3. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION OUTER SHIELD Using a screwdriver, remove the power seat switch knobs. HINT: Tape up the screwdriver tip before use. Remove the 4 screws. Disconnect the connectors (Scheme 66) Remove the seat cushion outer shield. Remove the 3 screws and the power seat switch from the seat cushion outer shield. Remove the 2 screws and the lumber support switch from the seat cushion outer shield.
  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT Remove the clamp, then disconnect the connector. Remove the bolt and the inner belt.
  5. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD Remove the 3 screws and the seat cushion inner shield.
  6. REMOVE LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD Remove the screw and the lower seat cushion shield (Scheme 70)
  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD Remove the screw and the front seat cushion shield.
  8. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Remove the 4 bolts. Remove the clamps from the seat cushion assembly.
  9. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION FRAME Disengage the hook. Remove the hog rings and the seat cushion frame from the seat cushion cover with pad.
  10. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-215759-S29506325362006011900000) )
  11. IF NECESSARY, REPLACE SEAT CUSHION HEATER (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-215759-S29506325362006011900000) )
  12. REMOVE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY Remove the hog rings. Disengage the hook (Scheme 73) Disconnect the connectors. Remove the 4 bolts and the seatback assembly. NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to dam age the airbag wire harness. Remove the screw and the RH reclining adjuster inside shield. Disconnect the side airbag connector. NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness. Remove the screw and the LH reclining adjuster inside shield.
  13. REMOVE ARMREST
  14. REMOVE SEATBACK FRAME Remove the hog rings, the clamps and the 2 bolts. Remove the 2 headrest supports. Remove the seatback frame from the seatback cover with the pad.
  15. REMOVE LUMBER SUPPORT Remove the 2 bolts, the lumber support and the spacer.
  16. REMOVE POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY Remove the 4 screws and the power seat motor assembly.
  17. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER Remove the hog rings and the seatback cover from the seat-back pad.
  18. IF NECESSARY, REPLACE SEATBACK HEATER (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-215759-S29506325362006011900000) )
  19. REMOVE SEAT POSITION CONTROL RELAY Disconnect the connectors. Remove the 2 bolts and the seat position control relay.
  20. Driver's Side: REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR Remove the bolt and the seat position sensor, then disconnect the connector.

REPLACEMENT

HINT

  1. For the installation/removal/disassembly of the seat (See «REMOVAL»(ref-215759-S35072293202006011900000) ).
  2. Care should be taken during the operation to protect the seat cover from accidental scratches, dirt or fray out.

  1. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER FROM PAD Remove the hog rings. Remove the seat cushion cover from the pad. Turn the seat cushion cover inside out. Disconnect the seat wires.
  2. REMOVE SEAT HEATER Remove the tack pins which are fastened to the heater. Remove the seat heater from the seat cushion cover. HINT: Be sure to remove the wire before removing the seat heater.
  3. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER Remove the hog rings and the wires. Remove the seatback cover from the pad. Turn the seatback cover inside out. Disconnect the seat wires.
  4. REMOVE SEAT HEATER
  5. INSTALL NEW SEAT HEATER TO SEAT COVER Using a tacker, install a new seat heater to the seat cushion cover with tack pins. Tacker: BANZAI 303XT or equivalent NOTE: Do not substitute other metal parts for the tack pins. Insufficient distance between the heater and the cover may result in damage to the heater. HINT: Illustration "A" and "B": Fasten the cover and the heater with the tack pins matching the seam with the V slit of the heater (Scheme 86) Illustration "C": Fasten the out-stretch cloth pad and the heater with the tack pins matching the edge of the cloth pad with the V slit of the heater (Scheme 86) Sewing thread can be substituted for the tack pins. However, allow a distance of 6 - 7 mm (0.24 - 0.28 in.) between both sewed parts of the heater and the cover.
  6. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER TO SEAT CUSHION PAD Thread the wires through the listing pocket. Install the seat cushion cover with new hog rings. Turn the seat cushion cover inside out to put it back to its original position.
  7. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER TO PAD Thread the wires though the listing pocket. Turn the seatback cover inside out to put it back to its original position. Install the seatback cover to the pad with new hog rings.

  1. Driver's Side: INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR Install the seat position sensor with a new bolt, then connect the connector. Part No.: Bolt: 90119-06871 Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)
  2. INSTALL SEAT POSITION CONTROL RELAY Install the 2 bolts and the seat position control relay, then connect the connectors. Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
  3. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER Install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.
  4. INSTALL POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY Install the power seat motor assembly with the 4 screws.
  5. INSTALL LUMBER SUPPORT Install the lumber support and the spacer with the 2 bolts.
  6. INSTALL SEATBACK FRAME Install the seatback cover to the seatback frame. Install new hog rings the clamps, and the 2 bolts. Torque: 4.7 N.m (48 kgf.cm, 42 in.lbf) Install the 2 headrest supports.
  7. INSTALL SEATBACK ASSEMBLY Place the airbag connector along the inner seat adjuster, and then install the RH reclining adjuster inside shield with the screw so that the connector is placed in between. NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness. Install the LH reclining adjuster inside shield with the screw. Install the seatback assembly with the 4 bolts. Torque: 43 N.m (440 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf) Install new hog rings. Hang the hook. Connect the connectors.
  8. INSTALL ARMREST Torque: 37 N.m (380 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
  9. INSTALL HEADREST
  10. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-215759-S29506325362006011900000) )
  11. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION FRAME Install the seat cushion frame with new hog rings to the seat cushion cover with pad. Hang the hook.
  12. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Install the seat cushion assembly with the 4 bolts to the seat adjuster. Torque: 21 N.m (210 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf) Engage the wire harness clamp.
  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD Install the seat cushion shield with the screw.
  14. INSTALL LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD Install the seat cushion shield with the screw.
  15. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD Install the seat cushion inner shield with the 3 screws.
  16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT Engage the clamp, then connect the connector. Install the inner belt with the bolt. Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
  17. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION OUTER SHIELD Install the power seat switch with the 3 screws. Install the lumber support switch with the 2 screws. Connect the connectors see scheme 38 Install the seat cushion outer shield with the 4 screws. Install the power seat switch knobs.
  18. INSTALL SEATBACK BOARD
