Instrument ECU
- Using driver's power door lock switch or keyless entry transmitter, check if luggage compartment door locks and unlocks properly. If operation is normal, go to «OPEN DOOR INDICATOR LIGHT»(ref-8893-S08805661112000092800000) . If operation is not normal, go to next step.
- Check rear wiper system operation. If rear wiper system functions properly, replace instrument ECU. If rear wiper system does not function properly, repair wiper system as necessary and retest. See appropriate WIPER/WASHER SYSTEMS article.
Open Door Indicator Light
Open any door. Open door indicator light should illuminate. If open door indicator light is on, check for DTCs. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES . If open door indicator light is off, repair open door indicator light circuit as necessary and repeat procedure.
Open Door Indicator Light Method
DTCs are displayed as flashes of open door indicator light. All open door indicator light DTCs are 2-digit numbers. Pay careful attention to length of pauses in order to read codes correctly. (Scheme 7) DTCs from multiplex self-diagnostic system are retrieved through Data Link Connector (DLC) No. 1 (located in engine compartment on right side of engine, near air filter). With key on and engine off, connect jumper wire between DLC No. 1 terminals E1 and Tc. (Scheme 8) If any DTCs are present, perform appropriate test. See MULTIPLEX DTC DEFINITIONS.
