INSTALLATION

  1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) Attach the clamp. Connect the connectors. Install the headlight LH with the 3 bolts. Connect the headlight cleaner hose.
  2. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Headlight Cleaner System) Attach the clamp. Connect the connectors. Install the headlight LH with the 3 bolts.

  1. INSTALL UPPER HEADLIGHT PROTECTOR RETAINER LH HINT: If the installation area of the headlight is damaged, use the supply retainer for low-cost repair. Ensure that the headlight is not damaged. Cut off the part shaded in the illustration and smooth with sandpaper. NOTE: After cutting off the part, place the headlight protector retainer against the bosses and gradually file away the old bracket if it interferes with the installation of the supply retainer. Install the headlight protector retainer with the screw.
  2. INSTALL LOWER HEADLIGHT PROTECTOR RETAINER LH HINT: If the installation area of the headlight is damaged, use the supply retainer for low-cost repair. Ensure that the headlight is not damaged. Cut off the part shaded in the illustration and smooth with sandpaper. NOTE: After cutting off the part, place the headlight protector retainer against the bosses and gradually file away the old bracket if it interferes with the installation of the supply retainer. Install the headlight protector retainer with the screw.

  1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH (See «REMOVAL»(ref-349732-S04425564642009120800000) )
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation. NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH (See «REMOVAL»(ref-349736-S30791494642009120800000) )
  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH Remove the 7 screws and 5 clips on the front side of the front fender liner LH, and bend the front fender liner LH.
  6. REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB Turn the back cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it. Turn the headlight control ECU in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove the socket. Release the set spring lock as shown in the illustration and remove the discharge headlight bulb. NOTE: Do not touch the glass part of the bulb.

  1. INSTALL DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB Lock the set spring and install the discharge headlight bulb. NOTE: Do not touch the glass part of the bulb. Turn the headlight control ECU in the direction indicated by the arrow and install the socket. NOTE: Install the socket so that the wire harness is pointed downwards. Turn the back cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and install it.
  2. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH Install the front fender liner LH with the 7 screws and 5 clips.

  1. REMOVE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the side turn signal light in the order shown in the illustration. Rotate the cover 40°, disconnect the connector and remove the side turn signal light.

  1. INSTALL SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY Connect the connector. Rotate the cover 40°. Engage the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration and install the side turn signal light.

  1. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT COVER Push in the stop light cover at a point 10 mm (0.393 in.) from the end of the cover as shown in the illustration. With the stop light cover pushed in, slide it towards the outside of the vehicle to detach the 4 claws. Lift up the stop light cover to remove it as shown in the illustration.
  2. REMOVE NO. 2 CENTER STOP LIGHT COVER Push in the stop light cover at a point 10 mm (0.393 in.) from the end of the cover as shown in the illustration.
