- CHECK FOR WATER DAMAGE Check the power source control ECU, peripheral components, and wire harnesses for traces of water. OK There are no traces of water. NG --> TAKE APPROPRIATE MEASURES AGAINST CAUSE OF WATER DAMAGE AND REPLACE POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND) Disconnect the ECU connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance Tester Connection (Symbols) Condition Specified Condition J55-6 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 ohms NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK --> REPLACE POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT Delete the DTC. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-387396-S31508654092011022400000) . Check for DTC B2282 and DTC B2283. OK Display (DTC output) Proceed to "DTC B2283" only A "DTC B2283" and "DTC B2282" are output B HINT: If DTC B2282 and DTC B2283 are output, perform troubleshooting for DTC B2282 first. Refer to «DTC B2282: Vehicle Speed Signal Malfunction»(ref-387397-S07706155402011022400000) . B --> GO TO DTC CHART A: Go to next step
- CHECK OPERATION OF SPEEDOMETER Drive the vehicle and check if the function of the speedometer in the combination meter is normal. OK Actual vehicle speed and the speed indicated on the speedometer are the same. HINT: The vehicle speed sensor is functioning normally when the indication on the speedometer is normal. NG --> GO TO COMBINATION METER SYSTEM OK --> REPLACE POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU
- CHECK FOR DTCS Delete the DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-387396-S31508654092011022400000) . Check for DTCs again. OK DTC B2287, B2284 and B2285 are not output. HINT: If DTCs B2287, B2284 and B2285 are output, inspect those DTCs first. Refer to «DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART»(ref-387396-S37963320282011022400000) . If DTCs B2287, B2284 and B2285 are not output, refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE of the smart access system with push-button start (ID code matching inside the cabin cannot be performed). Refer to «PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE»(ref-387393-S27752496492011022400000) . NG --> GO TO DTC CHART OK --> GO TO SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (MATCHING FOR THE INSIDE OF THE CABIN CANNOT BE PERFORMED)

- ENGINE START SYSTEM OPERATION A/T Models: If the engine switch is pressed with the shift lever in P or N and the brake pedal depressed, the power source control ECU determines that it is an engine start request. M/T Models: If the engine switch is pressed with the clutch pedal depressed, the power source control ECU determines that it is an engine start request. The certification ECU and other ECUs perform key verification via the LIN communication line. The power source control ECU activates the ACC relay. The power source control ECU activates the IG1 and IG2 relays. The engine switch indicator light turns green. The certification ECU outputs a steering UNLOCK signal. The signal is sent to the steering lock ECU via the power source control ECU. The power source control ECU sends an engine start request signal to the ECM. The ECM sends an ACC cut request signal to the power source control ECU. The ECM and power source control ECU activate the ST relay. The power source control ECU deactivates the ACC relay until the ECU detects an engine start. When engine revolution speed reaches 200 rpm, the power source control ECU determines that the engine has been started. The ECU reactivates the ACC relay and turns off the engine switch indicator light.
