PROCEDURE
- CHECK ECM POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT Check the ECM power source circuit. Refer to «ECM Power Source Circuit»(ref-387346-S04248617552011022400000) for 2GR-FSE. Refer to «ECM Power Source Circuit»(ref-387361-S23225864082011022400000) for 4GR-FSE). OK The ECM power source circuit is normal. HINT: If there is no abnormality in the ECM power source circuit, replace the ECM. NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE ECM POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT OK --> REPLACE ECM
- CHECK FOR OPEN IN ONE SIDE OF CAN BRANCH WIRE Confirm the systems (ECUs and sensors), which use CAN communication, equipped on the vehicle. Refer to «DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM»(ref-387391-S05169532582011022400000) . Using the Techstream, select and perform "CAN Bus Check". Refer to «DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM»(ref-387391-S05169532582011022400000) . Observe the screen for approximately 1 minute to check the ECUs and sensors that are not displayed on the screen and also those that repeatedly appear and disappear from the screen. Disconnect the branch line connectors, which are connected to the ECUs or sensors that are not displayed on the screen, from the CAN J/C. If the connector locations differ from those shown in the above tables, identify each connector according to the color of the bus lines. Check that the ECUs and sensors, which repeatedly appeared and disappeared from the "CAN Bus Check" screen, are constantly displayed. Perform the communication stop mode check for the ECUs and sensors which correspond to the disconnected branch line connectors. Refer to «PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE»(ref-387391-S39962466682011022400000) . NEXT --> GO TO CORRESPONDING COMMUNICATION STOP MODE
