SERVICE INTERVALS
Check transmission fluid level every 30,000 miles or 24 months. Service interval is not available for vehicles operated under normal conditions. Under severe conditions such as trailer towing, police, taxi, local delivery service or operating under dusty conditions, replace transmission fluid every 60,000 miles or 24 months.
CHECKING FLUID LEVELS
Raise and support the vehicle. Ensure vehicle is level. Remove filler plug from transmission. Fluid should be level with bottom edge of filler plug hole. (Scheme 34) If fluid is low, fill with appropriate fluid until fluid is level with filler plug opening. See RECOMMENDED FLUIDS. Reinstall filler plug. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.

DRAINING & REFILLING
- Raise and support vehicle. Clean area around drain and filler plugs of any dirt or debris. Remove drain plug and drain fluid into a suitable container. (Scheme 34) Install a NEW gasket on drain plug and install plug. Tighten to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-154150-S32024187262003050700000).
- Remove filler plug. (Scheme 34) Fill transmission to capacity with appropriate fluid. See «RECOMMENDED FLUIDS»(ref-154150-S15357326112003050700000). Install filler plug with a NEW gasket and tighten plug to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-154150-S32024187262003050700000).
