SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. GENERAL The windshield deicer thin heater wires are attached to the inside of the windshield glass to help and deice the window surface more quickly. The indicator light illuminates while the system is operating. The system automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes. NOTE: If the battery voltage becomes low, windshield deicer operation is canceled to prioritize supplying power to the power steering system.
  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT Component Outline Display and Navigation Module Display*1 Front Wiper Deicer Switch*2 Sends signals to the air conditioning amplifier assembly to operate the windshield deicer. Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly Sends windshield deicer activation request signals to the integration relay. Integration Relay Receives windshield deicer activation request signals from the air conditioning amplifier assembly and supplies power to the windshield deicer wire (windshield glass). Windshield Deicer Wire (Windshield Glass) Receives power from the integration relay and heats the windshield deicer wire (windshield glass). *1: w/ Navigation System *2: w/o Navigation System

DESCRIPTION

When the windshield deicer switch is operated, the operation signal is transmitted to the air conditioning amplifier assembly via CAN and AVC-LAN communication lines*1, or directly*2. When the air conditioning amplifier assembly receives the signal, it turns on the integration relay to operate the windshield deicer.
