INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL AUXILIARY BATTERY Install the battery. Connect the battery ventilation hose to the battery without kinking it. HINT: Push in the battery ventilation hose to the battery until a click sound is heard. Install the battery clamp with the nut. Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) Install the positive (+) battery terminal with the nut. Install the battery terminal cap.
2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and close the front luggage compartment trim cover.
3. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT Install the luggage compartment floor mat.

1. INSPECT BATTERY THERMOMETER SENSOR Disconnect the connector from the battery thermometer sensor. TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *1 Ohmmeter *2 Resistance kohms *3 Battery Temperature °C (°F) - - Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 24 to 26°C (75 to 79°F) 1.91 to 2.05 kohms If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the battery thermometer sensor.
