PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that each door window regulator operates. Refer to «DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST»(ref-524122-S04183156302013012800000) . WARNING: Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move. During the Active Test, the jam protection function does not operate.   2. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-524122-S26238199112013012800000) . Check that each power window operates normally by opening and closing the window. Refer to «OPERATION CHECK»(ref-524122-S08097623332013012800000) . HINT: Each power window operates normally. NEXT: Go to next step
  3. CHECK WHETHER PARTS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY Check that the power window components are installed correctly. OK Power window components are installed correctly. HINT: If the power window components are installed correctly, the problem has been caused by battery disconnection while the engine switch was on (IG), or the motor being overheated. NG --> INSTALL PARTS CORRECTLY OK --> END

  2. CHECK MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (WINDOW LOCK SWITCH) Turn the window lock switch off and operate the switches on the multiplex network master switch. Check that the remote up/down function operates. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-524356-S19553251942013012800000) . OK Remote up/down function operates. NG --> See step 3 OK --> END

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.   5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH LH - REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR LH AND BODY GROUND) Disconnect the M2 rear power window regulator switch connector. Disconnect the M4 power window regulator motor connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition M2-4 (AUTO) - M4-4 (AUTO) Always Below 1 ohms M2-5 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 ohms M2-4 (AUTO) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK --> See step 11

  1. CHECK BASIC FUNCTION (WIRELESS AND POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM) Check that the wireless transmitter and driver door key cylinder (key-linked switch) lock and unlock all the doors normally.   2. CHECK POWER WINDOW OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER ENGINE SWITCH TURNED OFF Check the power window operation function after the engine switch is turned off. Refer to «OPERATION CHECK»(ref-524122-S08097623332013012800000) . RESULT Result Proceed to Front side door is opened within 43 sec. but power windows can still operate A 43 sec. pass and power windows can still operate B B --> See step 7 A: Go to next step

  5. CHECK DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY Temporarily replace the driver side junction block with a new or normally functioning one. Check the front door open and close function. NG --> See step 7 OK --> END (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE)
  6. REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-524299-S22909965472013012800000)
  7. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-524305-S41918141882013012800000)
  8. GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to «HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING»(ref-524330-S27084996322013012800000)

CHECK POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM (AUTO UP/DOWN FUNCTION (APPLICABLE LOCATION)) Check that all door power windows move when the auto up/down function of the multiplex network master switch and power window regulator switch (for rear LH and rear RH sides) is operated. Refer to «OPERATION CHECK»(ref-524122-S08097623332013012800000) . OK Auto up/down function is normal (applicable location). NG --> See step 3 OK --> INSTALL WINDOW GLASS CORRECTLY (REMOVE FOREIGN OBJECTS CAUSING IMPROPER FIT OR REPLACE PARTS)
  3. CHECK WINDOW GLASS SLIDING MOVEMENT (APPLICABLE LOCATION) Remove the power window regulator motor. Install the window glass to the door glass run. Check if the power window regulator operates smoothly. Check that the window glass slides smoothly when sliding it up by hand. OK Window glass slides smoothly. HINT: Make sure that the following conditions are met: The window glass fits with the glass run without improper contact or deformation. Foreign objects are not caught in the glass run. WARNING: Perform initialization again.
