- CHECK FOR WATER DAMAGE Check for any signs of water damage to the power management control ECU, surrounding parts, wire harnesses and connectors. RESULT Result Proceed to No signs of water damage A Signs of water damage B B --> TAKE MEASURES AGAINST CAUSE OF WATER DAMAGE AND REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU A --> See step 2
- REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-524305-S18189643692013012800000)
- CHECK FOR DTC Record any output DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-524115-S25428165872013012800000) . NOTE: When using the Techstream with the engine switch off, perform either of the following: 1) Turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins, or 2) connect the Techstream to the vehicle, select the vehicle type under manual mode, and then enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access / Trouble Codes. The smart access system with push-button start uses multiplex communication. First perform the inspections in "How to Proceed with Troubleshooting" to confirm that there are no communication malfunctions before proceeding with troubleshooting. - INSPECT DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (ACC RELAY) See step 3 NG --> REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) See step 4 NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
- CHECK POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU See step 5 NG --> See step 5 OK --> See step 6
