OPERATION CHECK

  1. INSPECT ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION *: When the lights are on, if the key leaves all detection areas around the doors, after approximately 3 seconds, the lights fade out. NOTE: Perform this inspection with the customizable parameters set to the initial settings. HINT: The illuminated entry system illuminates the lights below. Engine switch illumination Map light No. 1 room light No. 2 room light Side step light Interior foot lights Inside handle illumination The operation and conditions of this system are described below. Operation Condition Lights fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all the doors are closed. Lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out When any of the following conditions is met: The key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area when the engine switch is off and all the doors are closed.* Any door is unlocked when the engine switch is off and all the doors are closed and locked. The engine switch is turned from on (ACC) to off when all doors are closed. All the doors are closed when one or more doors are open and the engine switch is off. Lights fade out immediately When either of the following conditions is met: The engine switch is turned from off to on (ACC) when all the doors are closed. All the doors are locked when the engine switch is off, all the doors are closed and any door is unlocked. Battery saving The doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the key is outside the vehicle exterior detection area.
