PROCEDURE

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MIRROR MASTER SWITCH AND MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the mirror master switch and mirror control switch. Integration control and panel assembly Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Mirror Selection SW (R) Mirror master switch signal for RH mirror / ON or OFF ON: Switch is in R position OFF: Switch is OFF or in L position - Mirror Selection SW (L) Mirror master switch signal for LH mirror / ON or OFF ON: Switch in L position OFF: Switch is OFF or in R position - Mirror Position SW (R) Mirror control switch signal (RIGHT) / ON or OFF ON: RIGHT switch is ON OFF: Any switch except RIGHT is ON or all switches are OFF - Mirror Position SW (L) Mirror control switch signal (LEFT) / ON or OFF ON: LEFT switch is ON OFF: Any switch except LEFT is ON or all switches are OFF - Mirror Position SW (Up) Mirror control switch signal (UP) / ON or OFF ON: UP switch is ON OFF: Any switch except UP is ON or all switches are OFF - Mirror Position SW (Dwn) Mirror control switch signal (DOWN) / ON or OFF ON: DOWN switch is ON OFF: Any switch except DOWN is ON or all switches are OFF - OK On tester screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart. NG --> See step 2 OK --> END
  2. REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY. Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 10»(ref-382835-S32109658782011012800000)
  1. CHECK OUTER MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH FUNCTION (POWER MIRROR CONTROL FUNCTION) Check that the mirror surface positions of the outer rear view mirror LH and RH can be moved using the mirror control switch of the integration control and panel assembly. OK Mirror surface positions of the outer rear view mirror LH and RH can be moved using the mirror control switch of the integration control and panel assembly. NG --> GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (MIRROR MEMORY FUNCTION) Check that the outer rear view mirror LH and RH positions can be memorized using the seat memory switch. OK Outer rear view mirror LH and RH positions can be memorized using seat memory switch. NG --> GO TO FLOWCHART OK: Go to next step
  3. CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (DRIVER SEAT) (SEAT MEMORY FUNCTION) Check that the driver side seat can be moved using the seat memory switch. OK Driver side seat can be moved using seat memory switch. NG --> GO TO FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM OK: Go to next step
  4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MIRROR POSITION SENSOR) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the mirror position sensor. Front multiplex network door ECU LH, RH Tester Display Measurement Item/Display Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Mirror Position Sensor (V) Vertical mirror position / Min.: 0, Max.: 5 V Within 0 to 5 V - Mirror Position Sensor (H) Horizontal mirror position / Min.: 0, Max.: 5 V Within 0 to 5 V - OK Output voltage is as shown in table above. OK --> REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH NG: Go to next step
  5. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (MIRROR POSITION SENSOR) Disconnect the z5 or z6 mirror connector. Apply battery and dry cell battery voltage to the terminals as shown in the table below. Measure the voltage while the mirror moves between the fully downward and fully upward positions.
