- SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (FOR DOOR LOCK) (ENTRY UNLOCK MODE SWITCHING FUNCTION) NOTE: Because the key (for card type) does not have a wireless transmitter function, it cannot be used to change the entry unlock mode. Check that the power source mode is off and the LED on the key is not blinking. Press the LOCK switch and one of the other switches on the key at the same time for approximately 5 seconds while the key is in the actuation area. Driver door unlock default setting: When the switches are pressed and held for 5 seconds, the entry door unlock mode changes in the following order: driver door mode, one door mode, doors on one side mode, all doors mode. NOTE: After pressing and holding the switches for 5 seconds, wait 5 seconds before performing the same procedure again. Driver door unlock mode: When the driver door touch sensor is touched, only the driver door unlocks. When another touch sensor is touched, all doors unlock. All door unlock mode: When a touch sensor is touched, all doors unlock. One door mode: When a touch sensor is touched, the touch sensor door unlocks. For example, if the driver door touch sensor is touched, the driver door unlocks. Doors on one side mode: When a touch sensor is touched, the doors on the side of the touch sensor unlock. For example, when the driver door touch sensor is touched, the driver door and driver side rear door unlock. The certification ECU receives this signal from the entry door control receiver and changes the smart access system with push-button start to the entry unlock mode. The certification ECU sounds the buzzers of the wireless door lock buzzer and combination meter to inform the user that the mode has been switched. HINT: The function only changes the entry unlock mode of the smart access system with push-button start. It does not switch the unlocking of the wireless door lock control.
- SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (FOR DOOR LOCK) (KEY CANCEL) NOTE: Because the key (for card type) does not have a wireless transmitter function, it cannot be used to perform the key cancel operation. The key cancel operation disables the following functions: Entry Ignition Entry Unlock / Lock Entry Luggage Compartment Open Key Lock-in Prevention Warning Memory Call The operation procedure is as follows: Precondition: Engine switch off, driver side door closed and unlocked Unlock the driver side door once with the UNLOCK switch of the key. Open the driver door within 5 seconds. Unlock the driver side door twice with the UNLOCK switch of the key within 5 seconds. Close and open the driver door twice within 30 seconds. (Driver door: Close --> Open --> Close --> Open) Unlock the driver side door twice with the UNLOCK switch of the key within 5 seconds. Close and open the driver door within 30 seconds. (Driver door: Close --> Open) Close the driver door within 5 seconds. When key cancel is activated, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds twice. To return to the original condition, perform this procedure again. When the original condition is returned, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds once.

Method 4 (Manual operation method) At an area with few turns and curves, and minimal traffic, drive at 20 km/h (12 mph) or more for 5 minutes or more.
- STEERING ANGLE SENSOR INITIALIZATION (to obtain a tire angle (during straight-ahead driving) signal) Turn the engine switch on (IG), and check that the master warning light and VSC/ABS warning lights illuminate for a few seconds. NOTE: If the warning lights remain on or blink, repair he applicable system. Drive the vehicle on a straight road at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more for 5 seconds or longer. HINT: At this point, the steering wheel will still remain off-center by 5 to 10 degrees. In this step, the neutral position of the steering wheel is restored from the steering control ECU memory. Confirm that steering angle sensor initialization is completed (when using the Techstream). Enter the VGRS menu using the Techstream. Select "Straight Angle Valid Flag" from "Data List". Check if the steering angle sensor has obtained a tire angle (during straight-ahead driving) signal. Standard "Valid" is displayed on the Techstream screen. Confirm that steering angle sensor initialization is completed (when not using the Techstream). Drive the vehicle on a straight road at 60 km/h (37 mph) or more for 30 seconds or longer. Stop the vehicle (engine running). Slowly turn the steering wheel from lock to lock. If it turns approximately 2.7 turns, steering angle sensor initialization is completed. If it turns approximately 3.2 turns, steering angle sensor initialization is not completed. NOTE: If the steering wheel turns approximately 3.2 turns, perform step (b) again.
- THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM HINT: If the battery is reconnected during the armed state, the system may enter the alarm sounding state and the alarm may sound. If so, perform a wireless unlock operation or entry unlock operation to stop the alarm.
