- If DTCs B1418/18 and B1461/61 are stored simultaneously, there may be a malfunction in the smog ventilation sensor power source related circuits.

If DTC B1423 and B14B8 are output at the same time, troubleshoot for DTC B1423 first.

- INSPECT SOLAR SENSOR (AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR) Remove the solar sensor (automatic light control sensor). Refer to «REMOVAL [06/2012 - ]»(ref-598598-S03326281672014021400000) . Reconnect the J1 solar sensor (automatic light control sensor) connector. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition J1-1 (TSL) - J1-3 (CLTE) Sensor is subjected to electric light 0.8 to 4.3 V J1-1 (TSL) - J1-3 (CLTE) Sensor is covered with a cloth Below 0.8 V NOTE: The connection procedure for using a digital tester such as a TOYOTA electrical tester is shown above. When using an analog tester, connect the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 and the positive (+) lead to terminal 3 of the solar sensor (automatic light control sensor). Do not bring the positive and negative tester probes too close to each other as a short circuit may occur. HINT: Use an incandescent light for inspection. Bring it within about 30 cm (11.8 in.) of the solar sensor (automatic light control sensor). As the inspection light is moved away from the sensor, the voltage decreases.
