PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC Turn the engine switch on (IG). Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant classification ECU. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-396711-S13118111402011050900000) . Clear the DTCs stored in the center airbag sensor assembly. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-396658-S30685891582011050900000) . Turn the engine switch off. Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait for at least 10 seconds. Check the DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-396711-S13118111402011050900000) . OK DTC B1795 is not output. HINT: Codes other than B1795 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check. OK --> See step 4 NG: Go to next step
2. REPLACE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU Connect Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Using Techstream, save the ECU data from the ECU which has been installed on the vehicle. Refer to «REGISTRATION»(ref-396711-S03653426602011050900000) . Turn the engine switch off. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds. Replace the occupant classification ECU. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-396531-S09726037482011050900000) . Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Using Techstream, load the previous ECU data stored into the new ECU. Refer to «REGISTRATION»(ref-396711-S03653426602011050900000) . Turn the engine switch off. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Clear the DTCs stored in the memory. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-396711-S13118111402011050900000) . HINT: If DTC is not cleared at this time, past DTC will remain. NEXT: Go to next step
3. PERFORM SENSITIVITY CHECK Perform the sensitivity check. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-396711-S03945214932011050900000) . NEXT --> END

6. REPLACE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR (FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY) Turn the engine switch off. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds. Replace the front seat cushion assembly (with occupant classification ECU and occupant classification sensor). Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-396531-S19327286352011050900000) . Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant classification ECU.
