Ignition: Removal & Installation Lexus ES XV40

INSTALLATION

  1. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY Install the 6 ignition coils with the 6 bolts. Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) Connect the 6 ignition coil connectors.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY NOTE: DO NOT apply oil to the bolt listed below: TORQUE SPECIFICATION Tightening Parts No. 1 Surge tank stay and Cylinder head cover (Схема №18): Locating Ignition Coils And Bolts Install the No. 1 surge tank stay with the bolt. Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) (Схема №19): Locating Bolt And No. 1 Surge Tank Stay Install the bolt and clamp. Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) (Схема №20): Locating Bolt And Harness Clamp
  3. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (See INSTALLATION )
  6. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
  7. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS (See COOLING SYSTEM )
  8. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER CENTER BRACE (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
  10. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (See INSTALLATION )
  11. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (See INSTALLATION )
  12. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See INSTALLATION )
  13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Perform initialization procedure (See INITIALIZATION ). NOTE: Some vehicle systems require initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
