WIPER ARMS
Turn wiper switch on, then off. Ensure wiper linkage stops in park position. Loosen wiper arm nuts. Position wiper arms so distance between cowl louver seal and right tip of wiper blades is 1.0" (25 mm). Tighten wiper arm nuts to 18 ft. lbs. (24 N.m)
WIPER MOTOR
- Disconnect wiper motor harness connector. Connect battery positive to wiper motor terminal No. 1. (Scheme 4) Connect battery negative to wiper motor terminal No. 5. If wiper motor operates at low speed, go to next step. If wiper motor does not operate at low speed, replace wiper motor.
- Connect battery positive to wiper motor terminal No. 4. (Scheme 4) Connect battery negative to wiper motor terminal No. 5. If wiper motor operates at high speed, go to next step. If wiper motor does not operate at high speed, replace wiper motor.
- Disconnect positive lead from wiper motor connector. With battery negative still connected to wiper motor connector terminal No. 5, connect a jumper wire between wiper motor terminals 1 and 3. Connect battery positive to terminal No. 2. Wiper motor should momentarily operate and then stop in park position. If operation is not as specified, replace wiper motor.
