Electronic A/t Shift Lever System (Diagnostic Codes & Circuit Tests): Other Lexus CT I

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the power switch on (IG). Enter the following menus: Chassis / Transmission Control / Trouble Codes. Read the freeze frame data of C2301. Result Result Proceed to IG (+B) voltage is 9 V or more A IG (+B) voltage is less than 9 V B Turn the power switch off. B --> See step 10 A: Go to next step
2. CLEAR DTC See step 4 NEXT: Go to next step
3. CHARGE AUXILIARY BATTERY Charge the auxiliary battery. NEXT: Go to next step
4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (SIMULATION TEST) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Release the brake pedal and turn the power switch on (IG). HINT: Do not turn the power switch on (READY). Depress the brake pedal and move the shift lever to select neutral (N). Enter the following menus: Chassis / Transmission Control / Trouble Codes. Check if DTCs are output. Result Result Proceed to C2301 is output A DTC is not output. B Turn the power switch off. B --> END (AUXILIARY BATTERY WAS INSUFFICIENTLY CHARGED) A: Go to next step
5. CHECK SHIFT CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY See step 10 NG --> See step 7 OK: Go to next step
6. CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY See step 11 NG --> See step 9 OK --> See step 8
7. REPLACE SHIFT CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to «COMPONENTS»(ref-568724-S19747760772013072300000)
8. REPLACE TRANSMISSION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to «COMPONENTS»(ref-568724-S04696024902013072300000)
9. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY. Refer to «COMPONENTS»(ref-568724-S20196117312013072300000)
10. REPLACE AUXILIARY BATTERY. Refer to «COMPONENTS»(ref-568784-S13045899022013072300000)

1. REPLACE TRANSMISSION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY Replace the transmission control ECU assembly. Refer to «COMPONENTS»(ref-568724-S04696024902013072300000) . NEXT --> END

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the power switch on (IG). Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes. Check if DTCs are output. Result Result Proceed to The following DTCs are not output. A Any of the following DTCs are output. B DTC No. Relevant Diagnosis P0851-579 Park/Neutral Switch Input Circuit Low P0852-580 Park/Neutral Switch Input Circuit High P085D-599 Gear Shift Control Module "A" Performance P0861-597 Gear Shift Control Module "A" Communication Circuit Low P0862-598 Gear Shift Control Module "A" Communication Circuit High U1107-436 Lost Communication with Power Management Module Turn the power switch off. B --> See step 4 A: Go to next step
2. CLEAR DTC Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the power switch on (IG). Enter the following menus: Chassis / Transmission Control / Trouble Codes. Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data. Clear DTCs and freeze frame data. Turn the power switch off. NEXT: Go to next step
3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HEALTH CHECK) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the power switch on (IG). Wait for 2 seconds or more. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check. Check if DTCs are output. Result Result Proceed to DTC is not output. A C2315 only is output. B C2315 and other DTCs are output together. C HINT: DTC C2315 only may be output when the P position switch (transmission shift main switch) connector is disconnected and reconnected. Turn the power switch off. B --> See step 5 C --> GO TO DTC CHART A --> END

5. REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU. Refer to «COMPONENTS»(ref-568756-S05695655832013072300000)
