TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
*New nut must be installed

Scheme 1
- Remove the tie-rod end. For additional information, refer to «Tie-Rod End»(/land-rover/range-rover/iii-2-2009-2012/remont/steering-linkage/#steering-linkage) . .
- Remove the locknut. NOTE: Note the fitted position.
- Remove the steering gear boot. Release the 2 clips.
INSTALLATION
- Install the steering gear boot. Clean the component mating faces. Secure with the clips.
- Install the locknut.
- Install the tie-rod end. For additional information, refer to «Tie-Rod End»(/land-rover/range-rover/iii-2-2009-2012/remont/steering-linkage/#steering-linkage) . .
Scheme 2
- Raise and support the vehicle. WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
- Remove the front wheel and tire.
- Loosen the tie rod end locking nut.
- Using the special tool release the tie rod end. Remove and discard the nut.
- Remove the tie rod end. Remove and discard the locking ring. CAUTION: Note the number of turns when removing the tie rod end to aid installation.
- Install the tie rod end. Install the locking ring.
- Secure the tie rod end. Install new nuts. Tighten new nuts to 70 Nm (52 lb.ft).
- Install the front wheel and tire. Tighten the wheel nuts to 140 Nm (103 lb.ft).
- Check, and if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment.
