Transfer Case: Overview Land Rover Freelander L359

PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION

For additional information. Refer to relevant Manual Transaxle and Clutch information.

1. Raise the vehicle on a lift.
2. Remove the engine undershield. Refer to «ENGINE UNDERSHIELD»(ref-531949-S17696129762013022000000) .
3. See figure CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.
4. Top-up the transfer case with recommended fluid, until the fluid is level with bottom of filler plug hole. Remove 120 ml for correct fluid capacity as shown in Specifications. See «SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-531980-S22943922792013022000000) .
5. Install the fluid filler plug. Torque: 35 Nm
6. Install the engine undershield. Refer to «ENGINE UNDERSHIELD»(ref-531949-S17696129762013022000000) .
