VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR
After a repair, it is essential to verifying that the fault has been corrected.
- Connect scan tool and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTCs)" mode.
- Using scantool, Clear DTC.
- Operate the vehicle within DTC Enable conditions in General information.
- Are any DTCs present ? YES Go to the applicable «TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE»(ref-226848-S39503932282006032900000) . NO System is performing to specification at this time.

- Remove the battery (-) terminal.
- Lift up the vehicle.
- Remove the propeller shaft (See «PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY»(ref-226856) )
- Remove the front muffler(A).
- Remove the RH driveshaft (See «DRIVESHAFT»(ref-226853) ).
- Loosen the oil drain plug and drain the fluid.
- After draining, re-tighten the oil drain plug. Tightening torque: 39.2 ~ 58.8 Nm (400 ~ 600 kgf.cm, 28.9 ~ 43.4 lb-ft)
- Support the transfer assembly with a jack.
- Remove the transfer assembly by loosening the mounting bolts. CAUTION: Remove the transfer bracket mounting bolts(2EA) together.
TRANSFER OIL
- Replace the oil every 100,000km(62,137miles) in a general condition and every 40,000km(24,854miles) in severe usage conditions. NOTE: Severe usage (marked '*') is defined as Frequent driving on rough road (Bumpy road, gravel road, snowy road, unpaved road. Etc.) Frequent driving on mountain road, ascent/descent. Police, taxi, commercial type operation or trailer towing. Etc.) Transfer & diff carrier lubricants should be changed anytime transfer & diff carrier have been submerged in water.

- Remove the filler plug(A).
- Refill the specification to the specified quantity. Specification: SAE 80w/90 Quantity: 0.8L(0.85US qt, 0.7lmp qt)
- Fix it in proper position with mounting bolts.
- Check and replenish the transfer oil every 40,000km(24855 miles).
