  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Disconnect the knock sensor connector (A). (Bank 1) (Bank 2)
  3. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to «INTAKE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM»(/kia/sedona/iii-2014-2020/remont/exhaust/#intake-exhaust-system) .
  4. Remove the installation bolt (A), and then remove the sensor from the cylinder block.

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Disconnect the VCMA connector (A).
  3. Remove the bolts (A) securing the VCMA to the intake manifold.
  4. Separate the VCMA linkage rod (B) from the attachment point on the VCMA lever using a trim clip removal tool.
  5. Remove the VCMA from the vehicle.
