  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the trunk.
  2. Loosen the drain plug and drain the engine coolant.
  3. Remove the radiator upper hose (A) and lower hose (B).
  4. Disconnect the WTS & gauge unit connector (A)
  5. Disconnect the heater hoses (A).
  6. Disconnect the throttle body coolant hoses (A) and then remove the water temperature control assembly (B).

  1. Install the water pump (A) with the new gaskets (B). NOTE: Clean the contact face before assembly. Always use a new bolt (C) and gaskets (B). Tightening torque G (4) : 21.6 ~ 23.5 N.m (2.2 ~ 2.4 kgf.m, 15.9 ~ 17.4 lb-ft) H (1) : 9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft) I (1) : 9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft) J (1) : 9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft) K (4) : 9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft) L (1): 21.6 ~ 26.5 N.m (2.2 ~ 2.7 kgf.m, 15.9 ~ 19.5 lb-ft)- New bolt
  2. Install the water pump pulley (A). Tightening torque: 7.8 ~ 9.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 7.2 lb-ft)
  3. Rotate the auto tensioner counter - clockwise. With the tensioner turned, install the drive belt on auto tensioner and then release the tensioner.
  4. Fill the radiator with coolant and check for leaks.

  1. Install the water temperature control assembly (B) and then connect the throttle body coolant hoses (A). Tightening torque: 19.6 ~ 23.5 N.m (2.0 ~ 2.4 kgf.m, 14.5 ~ 17.4 lb-ft)
  2. Connect the heater hoses (A).
  3. Connect the WTS & gauge unit connector (A).
  4. Install the radiator upper hose (A) and the lower hose (B).

Note. Refill engine coolant. Refill radiator and reservoir tank with engine coolant. Bleed air from the cooling system. Start engine and let it run until it warms up. (Until the radiator fan operates 3 or 4 times.) Turn Off the engine and let it cool down. Check the level in the radiator, add coolant if needed. This will allow trapped air to be removed from the cooling system. Put radiator cap on tightly, then run the engine again and check for leaks. Clean the battery posts and cable terminals with sandpaper assemble them, then apply grease to prevent corrosion.
