COMPONENT TESTS
Note. Complete power window system component test procedures are not available from the manufacturer. For further diagnostic information, see WIRING DIAGRAMS .
MOTOR
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect window motor harness connector. Using fused jumper wires, connect battery voltage and ground to terminals of motor harness connector. Motor should run. (Scheme 2)
- Reverse leads. Motor should operate in opposite direction. If operation is not as specified, replace window motor.

MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH
Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect master power window switch harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between specified switch terminals while operating switch. See MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY. (Scheme 3) If continuity is not as specified, replace master power window switch. Retest system.

MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY

PASSENGER POWER WINDOW SWITCHES
Turn ignition off. Disconnect appropriate passenger power window switch harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between specified switch terminals while operating switch. See PASSENGER POWER WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY. (Scheme 4) Replace passenger power window switch if continuity is not as specified.

PASSENGER POWER WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY

QUARTER GLASS MOTOR
Apply battery voltage to terminal No. 1 and ground terminal No. 2. Check that motor turns. (Scheme 5) Reverse connections and check that motor turns in the opposite direction.

QUARTER GLASS SWITCH
Operate switch and check for the specified continuity between the terminals. See QUARTER GLASS SWITCH CONTINUITY. (Scheme 6) If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.
