Description

The VESS (Virtual engine sound system) generates engine sound when you start the hybrid system.

This sound is for pedestrians to hear vehicle sound because there is no engine sound in hybrid driving.

VESS operates when vehicle speed is between 0~20km/h.

  1. Disconnect the negative(-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the glove box housing. (Refer to the " «CRASH PAD»(ref-535757-S19589450302013031200000) ")
  3. Remove the VESS unit (A) with bracket after loosening the mounting nuts (2EA) and disconnecting the connector.
