Removal

Note. In the case of a vehicle equipped with immobilizer, perform "Key Teaching" procedure together (Refer to " IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM " ).

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly (Refer to " «INTAKE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM»(ref-362199) " ).
  3. Disconnect the ECM Connector (A).
  4. Remove the mounting bolts, and then remove the ECM from the air cleaner assembly.

Installation

Note. In the case of a vehicle equipped with immobilizer, perform "Key Teaching" procedure together (Refer to " IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM " ).

  1. Installation is reverse of removal. ECM installation bolt: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)
