1. Using a fiber trim stick, work around the perimeter of the center bezel (1) releasing the retaining clips and separate the center bezel from the instrument panel.
2. Reach behind the center bezel (1) and disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the A/C heater control (3).
3. Remove the center bezel from the instrument panel.
4. Remove the radio mounting screws (1). CAUTION: Pulling the antenna cable straight out of the radio without pulling on the locking antenna connector could damage the cable or radio.
5. Pull the radio out far enough to access the back of the radio.
6. Disconnect the AM/FM antenna (2) and electrical connectors (1).
7. If equipped, disconnect the navigation antenna (3).
8. If equipped, disconnect the USB connectors (4).
9. Remove the radio from the instrument panel. NOTE: Vehicle being upgraded from (AM/FM only), continue on to "SDARS/NAVIGATION ANTENNA CABLE AND ANTENNA INSTALLATION" NOTE: Vehicle being upgraded from (AM/FM and SATELLITE Audio (SDARS)), continue to the next step.
10. Position the new radio to the instrument panel.
11. Connect the AM/FM antenna (2) and electrical connectors (1).
12. Connect the satellite/navigation antenna (3).
13. If equipped, connect the USB connectors (4).
14. Install and tighten the radio mounting screws (2).
15. Position the center bezel (1) to the instrument panel.
16. Connect the wire harness connector (2) to the A/C heater control (3).
17. Position the center bezel (1) while tilting the top of the bezel inward to engage the upper alignment tabs into the slots in the instrument panel.
18. Press firmly and evenly around the perimeter of the bezel to engage the retaining clips.
19. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

SDARS/NAVIGATION ANTENNA CABLE AND ANTENNA INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Place the rear seat back in the down position.
3. Pull upward on the cargo load floor to disengage the rear retaining tabs.
4. Lift the right front of the cargo load floor upward to disengage the load floor from the quarter trim panels and remove the load floor.
5. Lift upward to disengage the retaining tabs (2) that secure the scuff plate (1) to the liftgate opening and remove the scuff plate.
6. Using a fiber trim, remove the latch trim bezel (1).
7. Using a small flat bladed screw driver, disengage the grab handle retainer covers (3) from each second row grab handle (2).
8. Remove the two screws that secure each second row grab handle to the roof panel (1) and remove both grab handles.
9. Using a fiber trim stick, carefully remove both lower B-pillar trim panels (1).
10. Carefully disengage the front seat belt turning loop cover (2) from each front seat belt turning loop (4).
11. Disengage the top of each turning loop cover from the upper B-pillar trim panel (1) and remove both covers.
12. Using a T45 Torx® bit, remove the bolt (3) that secures each front seat belt turning loop and position both turning loops and seat belts out of the way.
13. Remove the plug from the top of each upper B-pillar trim panel (1).
14. Remove the screw (2) that secures the upper B-pillar trim panel to each B-pillar (4).
15. Disengage the retaining tab (3) and remove both upper B-pillar trim panels.
16. Lift upward to disengage the retaining tabs (4) that secure each scuff plate (3) to the cowl trim panel (1), quarter trim panel (2) and the door openings.
17. If equipped, use a T30 Torx® bit and remove the screw that secures the cargo loop to each quarter trim panel (2) and remove the loops.
18. Using a fiber trim stick, disengage the tabs (1 and 3) that secure the quarter trim panel to the body and remove both trim panels. Compass
19. Using a fiber trim stick, disengage the retaining tabs (3) that secure each D-pillar trim panel (1) to the body.
20. Disengage the alignment pin (4) and slide each D-pillar trim panel downward. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the seat belt from the D-pillar trim panel.
21. Pull the seat belt outward (2) and position both D-pillar trim panels out of the way. Patriot
22. Using a fiber trim stick, disengage the retaining tabs (4) that secure each D-pillar trim panel (2) to the body.
23. Using a fiber trim stick, disengage the retaining tabs (2) that secure each D-pillar trim panel to the C-pillar trim panel (1).
24. Disengage the alignment pin (3) and slide each D-pillar trim panel downward. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the seat belt from the D-pillar trim panel.
25. Pull the seat belt outward and position both D-pillar trim panels out of the way. Compass
26. Using a fiber trim stick, disengage the retaining tabs (2) that secure each C-pillar trim panel (1) to the body.
27. Disengage the alignment pin (3) and slide each C-pillar trim panel downward. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the seat belt from the C-pillar trim panel.
28. Pull the seat belt (4) outward and position both C-pillar trim panels out of the way. Patriot
29. Using a fiber trim stick, disengage the retaining tabs (3) that secure each C-pillar trim panel (2) to the body.
30. Disengage the retaining tabs (1) and slide each C-pillar trim panel downward. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the seat belt from the C-pillar trim panel.
31. Pull the seat belt (4) outward and position both C-pillar trim panels out of the way.
32. Remove the rear headliner push pins (3) from the upper D-pillar reinforcement (2).
33. If equipped, remove the flashlight from the cargo lamp housing (1).
34. Gently pry the cargo lamp housing downward to disengage the center retainer clip from the upper D-pillar reinforcement.
35. Lower the rear of the headliner (4) as needed for access.
36. Cut out the supplied antenna location template (1).
37. Locate the center line of the roof and position and tape the template in place.
38. Carefully center punch the roof panel at the two locations shown in illustration for the antenna mounting holes.
39. Remove and discard template. CAUTION: Do not drill down through the roof panel more than 6 mm (1/4 in.). Failure to follow these instructions can result in damage to the headliner.
40. Drill a 3 mm (1/8 inch) pilot hole in the roof panel (2) at the two marked locations.
41. Drill a 5 mm (13/64 inch) diameter hole at the marked location closest to the liftgate opening.
42. Using a hole saw, cut a 19 mm (3/4 inch) hole at the marked location furthest away from the liftgate opening.
43. Debur both of the drilled holes.
44. Clean and prep the roof panel surface.
45. Apply Mopar® Corrosion Inhibitor, p/n 82300508 to the bare metal surface of the drilled holes.
46. Route the connector through hole and set the antenna (1) into place.
47. Install the fasteners and tighten to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).
48. Connect the antenna cable (1) to the antenna.
49. Route the antenna cable down the right D-pillar and forward to the instrument panel. Tie strap or tape the cable into place as necessary.
50. Remove the nut (1) that secures the cowl side trim panel (3) to the right front door opening.
51. Disengage the retaining clip (2) and remove the right cowl side trim panel.
52. Open the glove box bin and disconnect the glove box damper from the bin.
53. Push the glove box stops (1) inward and rotate the glove box bin past the stops.
54. Disengage the glove box bin hinge pins (2) from the instrument panel and remove the glove box bin.
55. Route the antenna cable up into the instrument panel. Tie strap or tape the cable into place as necessary.
56. Attach the antenna cable to the radio. Go to "RADIO REPLACEMENT" , then proceed to Step 57 .
57. Align glove box bin with glove box opening and engage the hinge pins (2) to the instrument panel.
58. Push the glove box stops (1) inward and rotate the glove box bin into the instrument panel.
59. Connect the glove box damper and close the glove box bin.
60. Position the right cowl side trim panel (3) and engage the retaining clip (2). Make sure the retaining clip is fully engaged.
61. Install the nut (1) that secures the cowl side trim panel to the right front door opening.
62. Reposition the headliner (4) and engage the retaining clip for the cargo lamp (1) to the D-pillar reinforcement (2). Make sure the retaining clip is fully engaged.
63. Install the two rear headliner push pins (3). Make sure the push pins are fully engaged.
64. If equipped, install the flashlight into the cargo lamp housing. Compass
65. Reposition both C-pillar trim panels (1) and rear seat belts (4).
66. Engage the alignment tab (3) and the retaining tabs (2). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged. Patriot
67. Reposition both C-pillar trim panels (2) and rear seat belts (4).
68. Engage the retaining tabs (1 and 3). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged. Compass
69. Reposition both D-pillar trim panels (1) and rear seat belts (2).
70. Install the alignment pin (4) and engage the retaining tabs (3). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged. Patriot
71. Reposition both D-pillar trim panels (2) and rear seat belts.
72. Install the alignment pin (3) and engage the retaining tabs (4) to the body and the C-pillar trim cover (1). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
73. Position the quarter trim panel (2) to both quarter panels and engage the retaining tabs (1 and 3). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
74. Position both cargo loops and install the retaining screws, using a T30 Torx® bit. Tighten the screws securely.
75. Position the scuff plates (3) to the door openings, cowl trim panel (1) and quarter trim panel (2) and engage the retaining tabs (4). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
76. Position both upper B-pillar trim panels (1) and engage the tab (3) to the B-pillar (4).
77. Install the screw (2) that secures each B-pillar trim panel to the B-pillar.
78. Install the plug onto the top of each B-pillar trim panel.
79. Reposition both front seat belt turning loops (4) and install the bolt (3) that secures each turning loop, using a T45 Torx® bit. Tighten the bolts to 40 N.m (30 ft. lbs.).
80. Engage the top of each front seat belt turning loop cover (2) to each upper B-pillar trim panel (1).
81. Engage the bottom of each seat belt turning loop cover to each front seat belt turning loop.
82. Position both lower B-pillar trim panels (1) and engage the retaining tabs. Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
83. Position both second row grab handles (2) and install the two screws that secure grab handles to the roof panel (1). Tighten the screws securely.
84. Install the grab handle retainer covers (3).
85. Install the latch trim bezel (1).
86. Position the scuff plate (1) to the liftgate opening and engage the retaining tabs (2). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
87. Position the cargo load floor and engage the front retaining tabs.
88. Push downward on the cargo load floor and engage the rear retaining tabs.
89. Place the rear seat back in the up position.
90. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

ANTENNA REPLACEMENT ONLY

Note. Right side shown in illustration. Left side similar.

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Place the rear seat back in the down position.
3. Pull upward on the cargo load floor to disengage the rear retaining tabs.
4. Lift the right front of the cargo load floor upward to disengage the load floor from the quarter trim panels and remove the load floor.
5. Lift upward to disengage the retaining tabs (2) that secure the scuff plate (1) to the liftgate opening and remove the scuff plate.
6. Using a fiber trim, remove the latch trim bezel (1).
7. Using a small flat bladed screw driver, disengage the grab handle retainer covers (3) from each second row grab handle (2).
8. Remove the two screws that secure each second row grab handle to the roof panel (1) and remove both grab handles.
9. Using a fiber trim stick, carefully remove both lower B-pillar trim panels (1).
10. Carefully disengage the front seat belt turning loop cover (2) from each front seat belt turning loop (4).
11. Disengage the top of each turning loop cover from the upper B-pillar trim panel (1) and remove both covers.
12. Using a T45 Torx® bit, remove the bolt (3) that secures each front seat belt turning loop and position both turning loops and seat belts out of the way.
13. Remove the plug from the top of each upper B-pillar trim panel (1).
14. Remove the screw (2) that secures the upper B-pillar trim panel to each B-pillar (4).
15. Disengage the retaining tab (3) and remove both upper B-pillar trim panels.
16. Lift upward to disengage the retaining tabs (4) that secure each scuff plate (3) to the cowl trim panel (1), quarter trim panel (2) and the door openings.
17. If equipped, use a T30 Torx® bit and remove the screw that secures the cargo loop to each quarter trim panel (2) and remove the loops.
18. Using a fiber trim stick, disengage the tabs (1 and 3) that secure the quarter trim panel to the body and remove both trim panels. Compass
19. Using a fiber trim stick, disengage the retaining tabs (3) that secure each D-pillar trim panel (1) to the body.
20. Disengage the alignment pin (4) and slide each D-pillar trim panel downward. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the seat belt from the D-pillar trim panel.
21. Pull the seat belt outward (2) and position both D-pillar trim panels out of the way. Patriot

37. Remove the fasteners that secure the antenna to the roof panel and remove the antenna.
38. Clean and prep the roof panel surface.
39. Apply Mopar® Corrosion Inhibitor, p/n 82300508 to the bare metal surface of the drilled holes.
40. Set the new antenna (1) into place.
41. Install the fasteners and tighten to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).
42. Connect the antenna cable to the antenna.
43. Reposition the headliner (4) and engage the retaining clip for the cargo lamp (1) to the D-pillar reinforcement (2). Make sure the retaining clip is fully engaged.
44. Install the two rear headliner push pins (3). Make sure the push pins are fully engaged.
45. If equipped, install the flashlight into the cargo lamp housing. Compass
46. Reposition both C-pillar trim panels (1) and rear seat belts (4).
47. Engage the alignment tab (3) and the retaining tabs (2). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged. Patriot
48. Reposition both C-pillar trim panels (2) and rear seat belts (4).
49. Engage the retaining tabs (1 and 3). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged. Compass
50. Reposition both D-pillar trim panels (1) and rear seat belts (2).
51. Install the alignment pin (4) and engage the retaining tabs (3). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged. Patriot
52. Reposition both D-pillar trim panels (2) and rear seat belts.
53. Install the alignment pin (3) and engage the retaining tabs (4) to the body and the C-pillar trim cover (1). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
54. Position the quarter trim panel (2) to both quarter panels and engage the retaining tabs (1 and 3). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
55. Position both cargo loops and install the retaining screws, using a T30 Torx® bit. Tighten the screw securely.
56. Position the scuff plates (3) to the door openings, cowl trim panel (1) and quarter trim panel (2) and engage the retaining tabs (4). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
57. Position both upper B-pillar trim panels (1) and engage the tab (3) to the B-pillar (4).
58. Install the screw (2) that secures each B-pillar trim panel to the B-pillar.
59. Install the plug onto the top of each B-pillar trim panel.
60. Reposition both front seat belt turning loops (4) and install the bolt (3) that secures each turning loop, using a T45 Torx® bit. Tighten the bolts to 40 N.m (30 ft. lbs.).
61. Engage the top of each front seat belt turning loop cover (2) to each upper B-pillar trim panel (1).
62. Engage the bottom of each seat belt turning loop cover to each front seat belt turning loop.
63. Position both lower B-pillar trim panels (1) and engage the retaining tabs. Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
64. Position both second row grab handles (2) and install the two screws that secure grab handles to the roof panel (1). Tighten the screws securely.
65. Install the grab handle retainer covers (3).
66. Install the latch trim bezel (1).
67. Position the scuff plate (1) to the liftgate opening and engage the retaining tabs (2). Make sure the retaining tabs are fully engaged.
68. Position the cargo load floor and engage the front retaining tabs.
69. Push downward on the cargo load floor and engage the rear retaining tabs.
70. Place the rear seat back in the up position.
71. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE (WCM) AND REMOTE START ANTENNA INSTALLATION

1. Remove the screws (2) from the bottom of the steering column opening cover (1).
2. Using trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, separate the steering column opening cover (1) and remove. NOTE: Steering wheel removed for clarity.
3. Position the column tilt at the full-downward position.
4. Remove the two screws (4) attaching the upper shroud (1) to the lower shroud (2). After removing the screws, unclip the shrouds from each other by applying hand pressure along the seams where the shrouds connect on the sides, then remove the upper shroud.
5. Remove the screw (3) attaching the lower shroud (2) to the steering column (6). Remove the lower shroud.
6. Carefully remove the U-clip (1) from the remote start antenna harness. CAUTION: Use caution when pulling out the center bezel, damage may occur to the plastic clips or gear posts.
7. Using trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, carefully pry the center bezel (2) away from the instrument panel.
8. Disconnect the electrical and mechanical connections from the HVAC controls.
9. Remove the center bezel from the vehicle.
10. Remove and disconnect the radio.
11. Remove the adhesive backing on one side of the two sided tape (1) supplied in the kit and apply to the bottom side of the remote start antenna module (1).
12. Press the tape (2) firmly for 30 seconds to insure proper adhesion.
13. Using a fish tape or equivalent, route the antenna harness from inside the center stack area, to the opening (1) near the left side of the radio bracket, just behind the I/P support bracket. Route the harness towards the steering wheel/lower knee bolster cover area.
14. Clean and prep the flat surface of the I/P support bracket (1) with isopropyl alcohol.
15. Remove the remaining adhesive backing from the two sided tape and place the remote start antenna (2) on the flat surface of the I/P support bracket (1). The remote start antenna module must be place on the flat surface only, make sure that the module is clear of any metal parts.
16. Press down firmly on the top of the antenna module (2) for 30 seconds to insure proper adhesion.
17. Finish routing the remote start antenna harness (2) through to the steering column area near the wireless control module (WCM) (1).
18. Remove the one right multi-function switch retaining screw (3) from the steering column control module (SCCM) (1).
19. Pull right switch (2) out of SCCM.
20. Disconnect the right switch electrical connector (1) from the SCCM (2).
21. Remove the WCM mounting screw on the ignition lock assembly and separate the WCM (1 and 3) from the ignition lock assembly (5).
22. Disconnect the WCM electrical connector (4).
23. Remove the WCM (1 and 3) from the column (2) and discard.
24. Obtain the supplied WCM (1 and 3) from the kit and connect the remote start antenna to the WCM (1 and 3).
25. Position the WCM (1 and 3) on the ignition lock housing (5) and install the retaining screw on the top of the ignition lock housing (5).
26. Connect the WCM electrical connector (4).
27. Connect the right stalk electrical connector (1) to the SCCM (2).
28. Slide the right stalk (2) into the groove of the SCCM (1) and install the one retaining screw (3). NOTE: Steering wheel removed for clarity.
29. Push the tilt lever (5) downward.
30. Install the lower shroud (2) over the tilt lever and onto the column.
31. Position the column tilt (5) at the full-upward position.
32. Push the tilt lever (5) upward, locking it in place.
33. Install the screw (3) attaching the lower shroud (2) to the steering column (6).
34. Position the column tilt at the full-downward position and lock it in place.
35. Install the upper shroud over the lower shroud, clipping the shrouds to one another.
36. Install the two screws (4) attaching the upper shroud (1) to the lower shroud (2).
37. Secure the remote start harness to the I/P using the tie wraps supplied in the kit.
38. Position the steering column opening cover (1) in place and seat the clips fully.
39. Install the two screws (2) and tighten until secure.
40. Connect and install the radio (1).
41. Connect the electrical and mechanical connections from the HVAC controls.
42. Firmly seat the center bezel (2) to the instrument panel (1), engaging the spring clip retainers.
43. Connect the negative battery cable.
