  1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION Turn the ignition on. With the Scan Tool, clear all TIPM DTC's. Turn the Wipers on. With the Scan Tool, read the Wiper DTC's. Does the Scan Tool read: B2304-WIPER PARK SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT LOW? Yes Go To 2 . No The condition that caused the symptom is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring for a possible intermittent condition. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires. Perform «BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1»(ref-304334-S29410035802008110700000) .
  2. WIPER MOTOR With the scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Front Wiper Motor harness connector. Turn the ignition on. Wait 30 seconds With the scan tool, read DTCs. Does the Scan Tool read: B2305-WIPER PARK SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT HIGH? Yes Replace the Front Wiper Motor in accordance with the service information. Perform «BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1»(ref-304334-S29410035802008110700000) . No Go To 3 .
  3. (W7) FRONT WIPER MOTOR PARK SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the TIPM C2 harness connector. Measure the resistance between ground and the (W7) Front Wiper Park Switch Sense circuit. Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms? Yes Repair the (W7) Front Wiper Park Switch Sense circuit for a short to ground condition. Perform «BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1»(ref-304334-S29410035802008110700000) . No Replace the Totally Integrated Power Module in accordance with the service information. Perform «BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1»(ref-304334-S29410035802008110700000) .

  2. (W7) FRONT WIPER PARK SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Front Wiper Motor harness connector. Disconnect the TIPM C2 harness connector. Measure the voltage on the (W7) Front Wiper Park Switch Sense circuit. Is the voltage above 5.0 volts? Yes Repair the (W7) Front Wiper Park Switch Sense circuit for a short to voltage.   1. CONDITION PRESENT Ignition on, engine off. Turn the front wipers on. Does the Front Washer Motor Function? Yes Go To 2 . No Go To 3 .
  2. INTERMITTENT WIRING AND CONNECTORS Turn the ignition on. With the scan tool, erase all TIPM DTCs. Turn the ignition off. The conditions necessary to set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the schematics as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors specific to this circuit. Wiggle the wiring while checking for shorts and open circuits. Were there any problems found? Yes Repair as necessary. Perform «BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1»(ref-304334-S29410035802008110700000) . No Test Complete.
  3. FUSED ACCESSORY RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT Turn the ignition off to the lock position. Disconnect the Front Wiper Motor harness connector. NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary. Ignition on, engine off. Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, check the Fused Accessory Relay Output circuit in the Front Wiper Motor harness connector. Does the test light illuminate brightly? Yes Go To 4 . No Repair the Fused Accessory Relay Output circuit for an open. Perform «BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1»(ref-304334-S29410035802008110700000) .
  4. FRONT WIPER MOTOR Turn the ignition off to the lock position. Disconnect the Front Wiper Motor harness connector. Ignition on, engine off. Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12 Volts, check the (W3) Front Wiper Low Speed Control Output circuit in the Front Wiper Motor harness connector while turning on the Front Wipers. Does the test light illuminate brightly? Yes Replace the Front Wiper Motor in accordance with the Service Information. Perform «BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1»(ref-304334-S29410035802008110700000) . No Go To 5 .
  5. (W3) FRONT WIPER LOW SPEED CONTROL OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN Turn the ignition off to the lock position. Disconnect the TIPM C11 harness connector. Disconnect the Front Wiper Motor harness connector. NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary. Measure the resistance of the (W3) Front Wiper Low Speed Control Circuit from the TIPM C1 connector to the Front Wiper Motor harness connector. Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms? Yes Repair the (W3) Front Wiper Low Speed Control Circuit for an open. Perform «BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1»(ref-304334-S29410035802008110700000) . No Go To 6 .
  6. (W3) FRONT WIPER LOW SPEED CONTROL OUTPUT CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE Turn the ignition off to the lock position. Disconnect the TIPM C11 harness connector. Disconnect the Front Wiper Motor harness connector. NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary. Turn the ignition on. Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, check the (W3) Front Wiper Low Speed Control Output circuit. Does the test light illuminate brightly? Does the Scan Tool read: B234B-WIPER MOTOR HIGH SPEED CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH? Yes Go To 2 . No The condition that caused the symptom is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring for a possible intermittent condition. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires.   2. (W4) WIPER MOTOR HIGH SPEED CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the TIPM C11 harness connector. Disconnect the Windshield Wiper Motor harness connector. Measure the resistance of the (W4) Wiper Motor High Speed Control circuit. Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms? Yes Repair the (W4) Wiper Motor High Speed Control circuit for an open condition. Using the schematics as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors specific to this circuit. Wiggle the wiring while checking for shorts and open circuits. Were there any problems found?   4. FRONT WIPER MOTOR Turn the ignition off to the lock position. Disconnect the Front Wiper Motor harness connector. Ignition on, engine off. Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12 Volts, check the (W4) Front Wiper High Speed Control circuit in the Front Wiper Motor harness connector while pressing the Front Washer Switch. Does the test light illuminate brightly? Yes Replace the Front Wiper Motor in accordance with the Service Information. Perform «BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1»(ref-304334-S29410035802008110700000) . No Go To 5 .

  1. CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC B236F WIPER MOTOR LOW SPEED CONTROL CIRCUIT OVERCURRENT Turn the ignition on. With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's. Operate the Front Wipers. With the scan tool, read DTC's. Does the scan tool display active DTC B236F WIPER MOTOR LOW SPEED CONTROL CIRCUIT OVERCURRENT? Yes Go To 2 . No The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
  2. VISUAL AND PHYSICAL CONNECTOR AND TERMINAL INSPECTION Turn the ignition off. Inspect the following connector terminal condition. Check for signs of corrosion build up or damage that would compromise the terminal to controller pin connector. NOTE: Make sure that all in-line connectors are inspected for corrosion and/or damage. Disconnect the Wiper connector. Disconnect the C11 TIPM harness connector. Visually inspect the wiring harness. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched or partially broken wires hidden in the wire insulation. Were any of the above conditions found? Yes Repair or replace as necessary. No Go To 3 .
  3. (W3) FRONT WIPER LOW SPEED CONTROL OUTPUT CIRCUIT HIGH RESISTANCE With a jumper wire, connect one end to the (W3) Wiper Low Speed Motor Control Output circuit at the Wiper connector and the other to a clean chassis ground. Using a 12-volt test light to battery voltage, probe the (W3) Wiper Low Speed Control Output circuit in the C11 TIPM harness connector. NOTE: The test light should be illuminated and bright. Compare the brightness to that of a direct connection to the battery. Does the test light illuminate brightly? Yes Go To 4 . No Repair the excessive resistance in the (W3) Front Wiper Low Speed Control Output circuit. Perform «BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1»(ref-304334-S29410035802008110700000) .
  4. CHECKING WIPER OPERATION Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Wiper Motor harness connector. Momentarily jumper 12-volts to the Wiper Motor. Did the Wiper Motor operate properly? Yes Go To 6 . No Go To 5 .
  5. GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, check for a good case ground at the Wiper Motor. Does the test light illuminate brightly?   1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION Turn the ignition on. With the Scan Tool, clear all TIPM DTC's. Turn the Front Wipers on. With the Scan Tool, read the Front Wiper DTC's. Does the Scan Tool read: B2375-MIST SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT? Yes Go To 2 . No The condition that caused the symptom is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring for a possible intermittent condition. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires.
