| CAUTION | DO NOT run vehicle with foamy power steering fluid for an extended period. Pump damage may occur. |
- Fill pump to COLD level on dipstick, and let fluid settle for at least 2 minutes. Start engine and let run for a few seconds, then turn engine off. Add fluid if necessary. Repeat procedure until fluid level remains constant after running engine.
- Raise and support front wheels. Slowly turn steering wheel right and left, lightly contacting wheel stops. Turn wheel at least 20 times. Check fluid level and add if necessary.
- Lower vehicle, start engine and turn steering wheel slowly from lock to lock. Stop engine, check fluid level and add if necessary. If fluid is extremely foamy or milky looking, allow vehicle to stand a few minutes and repeat bleeding procedure.
