Removal
- Remove interior door latch release assembly and control panel retaining screws. Disconnect control linkage and wire harness connector. Remove latch release and control panel assembly. Remove armrest retaining screws.
- Swing armrest downward to a vertical position and disconnect from upper retainer clip. Pull armrest straight out from trim panel. Starting at the bottom, remove trim panel using a wide flat blade tool.
- Remove plastic sheet, door glass attaching stud nut and spring washer. Pull glass upward and out of door. Disconnect wire harness connector from window regulator. Remove window regulator rivets by grinding off the heads and knocking them out with a punch. (Scheme 6)
Installation
- Install regulator inside door. Attach regulator to door using pop rivets or hardware kit supplied with new regulator. Install wire harness connector to regulator. Ensure spring washer is in place to maintain correct tension on stud nut. (Scheme 8)
- Install door glass, spring washer and stud nut. Tighten door glass stud nut to 48 INCH lbs. (6 N.m). To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
