  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to «JACKING & HOISTING»(ref-162814-S18052796662004061100000) .
  2. Remove the rear exhaust heatshield.
  3. Install the underbody drop arms. Make sure the drop arms are vertical using the spirit levels provided.
  4. Install the transducer fixing bracket.
  5. Using a digital inclinometer fitted to the transducer bracket, measure the incline of the vehicle. A positive inclinometer reading indicates the vehicle is leaning towards the right-hand side when viewed from the front of the vehicle. A negative inclinometer reading indicates the vehicle is leaning towards the left-hand side when viewed from the front of the vehicle.
  6. Input the digital inclinometer reading and the vehicle VIN number in to the entry information data box on the control panel.
  7. Install the underbody alignment transducer to the right-hand side. Make sure the transducer is secured correctly. Do not over tighten the transducer nut. The transducer should be able to rotate freely.
  8. Press the zero button on the control panel when the transducer wire is fully retracted
  9. Using the alignment transducer carry out your first reading. Connect the transducer cable to the first drop arm and press the MEASURE button.
  10. Repeat the above step for every drop arm in the correct order.
  11. Move the underbody alignment transducer to the opposite side of the underbody transducer bracket.
  12. Repeat the measurement process for each drop arm in order.
  13. View the test results to see if the vehicle has passed of failed.
  14. If the vehicle fails the alignment test adjust as necessary.

The drop arm readings must be carried out in the correct order. The control panel will display the correct drop arm and it's color which needs to be tested. The correct order is shown below

Install the transducer to the right-hand side of the mounting bracket.

  1. Measure the distance between the transducer and the RED drop arm.
  2. Measure the distance between the transducer and the BLACK drop arm.
  3. Measure the distance between the transducer and the BLUE drop arm.
  4. Measure the distance between the transducer and the GREEN drop arm.
  5. Measure the distance between the transducer and the PURPLE drop arm. Install the transducer to the left-hand side of the mounting bracket.
  6. Measure the distance between the transducer and the RED drop arm.
  7. Measure the distance between the transducer and the BLACK drop arm.
  8. Measure the distance between the transducer and the BLUE drop arm.
  9. Measure the distance between the transducer and the GREEN drop arm.
  10. Measure the distance between the transducer and the PURPLE drop arm.
